Fire Tomlin, hire Gruden

I personally like these two guys.
Ben Johnson OC Lions.
Bobby Slowik OC Texans.
Both men are young, innovative and are obviously offensive minded coaches. Let them hire their own staffs and go with Justin for the next couple years.
Look what Slowik did with CJ Stroud. Possibly he can get Justin on the right track.
Jon Gruden is like Rex Ryan, Ron Rivera. All retreads that need to get on with life’s work.
 
Also, If Justin can’t get it done then we have a down season and draft out QB after the 2025 season.

39TD and 3 INT makes Jackson look like a passer. Give coaches credit for covering up his throwing deficiency

Henry with 15 TD and 2000 yards. Maybe his best season ever

Their OC will be be a HC as soon as they lose

It really is all mute isn’t it? These guys will all be signed this year to 5 years contract. The question is more like who is available in 3 years time.

No to Gruden. He did not do well when he came back. I want someone young and innovative on O and a much more attack style defensive coordinator

The NFL has never understood that being a great coordinator has zero to do with being a head coach... totally different skillsets... its why so many good coordinators fail at head coach... DLB was one of the greatest DCs in history... completely crappy HC...
bruce Arians was a middling OC with all kinds of issues... inadvertently got a shot at interim HC at Indy and ultimately won a super bowl in Tampa...
coordinators are more like engineers. Head coaches are organizers, disciplinarians, motivators...
its no different than a business, where the CEO has a totally different skillset and scope than a store manager or regional manager.

He did well resurrecting a college program from the ashes as a HC. Turned around an 0-12 Southern Miss squad to 9-5.

He would be an interesting choice.

He really had the GA Bulldog offense humming to Natys as well with Stetson Bennett of all people.

Monken and Ben Johnson would be my 1A and 1B hires and I’m not even sure which is A or B the more tenured guy Monken or the up and comer Johnson.

I’d definitely take either at this point though, and stealing the Rats coach would be a little cherry on top.
