Fire Tomlin, hire Gruden

Basic math isn't enough to make a thorough analysis. Assuming Bengals were a top passing team by any metric because they had a top 5 QB would be correct... but how often were they trailing in Q4 when passing was their only option to make a comeback.

I'm just looking at your numbers, I wouldn't say Baltimore runs far more than they pass, but I would say that about Philadelphia. Also a team that has 4000 passing yards doesn't sound "runcentric" to me. Their QB is averaging 9YPA and their top back 6 yards per rush. These are nutty numbers. Looking closer the QB is also averaging 6YPA rushing...

Looking strictly at Baltimore's offensive numbers, they shouldn't lose a game but they did because the back of their defense sucked for half a season. The game has changed forever because of these guys and I'm enjoying it

I get your gist though
I look at those numbers, and the narrative that has surrounded Jackson his whole career, and I jump at the chance to bring in any of the offensive coaches from Baltimore, and resign Fields. Looking at 2022 Justin Fields, he had 2,200 yards passing, with 17/11, and 1,100 yards rushing with 8 TD's. His WR core was worse than ours WITHOUT Pickens. Get a legit WR2, run Baltimore's offense with Fields and he can absolutely play the Jackson role. The key would be building around him, something Tomlin doesn't understand. He has his scheme and forces players into it, instead of fitting the scheme to the players he has.

We aren't drafting high enough to get a franchise caliber prospect, we have most of the parts needed. It's a better option than anything we've seen since 2018 Ben. After he got hurt, they tried forcing this "safe" crap offense we have been trotting out.

You nailed it. The best coaches are setting their players up to succeed and the best GM understand that. I think it's up to Rooney. Buck stops there

Tomlin will be coach As long as fans spend money on the Steelers. Stop going to games and buying mercendise.

You just stated succinctly and accurately at what many people here have attempted to state for the past decade

While it's impossible to judge a coach by using identifiable subsets of data - that is..wins, losses, time out usage and so on

It is possible to define a good coach as one whose focus is on creating environments where their players most easily succeed. This is what Baltimore did with Jackson and it's how we should measure the quality of coaches.

Does Tomlin and his staff create an environment conducive to the success of the individuals on the roster?

That's it. That's going to end all of the incessant sopping wet vaginas whining and complaining. I owe you a bourbon.

Dude is radioactive by all known Steeler monitoring instruments. They'd rather close shop than hire Gruden. Meanwhile they'll give any riff raff player a second or third chance.
Gruden got in hot water for what he wrote in email, privately. I wonder how many people WOULDN'T for revealing what they wrote privately. That stunk from the start. He used the word "f-g" as if that was a reason to crucify him. How many of you have used that word privately? Have any of you used the word "g-y?" God help you.
