Fire Tomlin, hire Gruden

I would absolutely make the trade and trade Pickens. Even if you don't like this year's QBs, you have the ammo to move next year in what figures to be a better QB class.

At this point after the Rats lay a 40 burger on the Steelers maybe they’ll at least just begin to ponder a trade scenario and try to remember what being relevant really means.

Sadly nobody would really pay that for Mike, not even the Bears are that stupid.

He’s more loved by the media than opposing owners.

It would be quite humbling for him tho if the Rooneys shopped him and realized his value was a lone 2nd rounder.

Nah. That dog won’t hunt. Guy has become a good passing quarterback. 39 TD’s says so. Middling passers that can run don’t put up the passing numbers that Jackson has the last few years. That he can run while putting up those kind of passing numbers is why he is in consideration for his THIRD MVP award. The Steelers could only hope to create a system and develop a guy to put up those kind of numbers.

Remember, the Steelers are lucky to never have a losing season. Look at some of these ham and eggers getting head coaching jobs. Tomlin is viewed as an elite coach and future Hall of Famer. He should and would demand a significant package in a trade and I'd love to see the Steelers pursue it.

You could get 2 1st round picks for Tomlin easily, the way the national media talks this guy up, absolutely some team would trade multiple picks for him, including multiple 1sts. I do that in a heart beat.

I’ll attempt this answer. First of all I will state Jackson has had a frigging fantastic season,I can’t understand anyone who doesn’t acknowledge this.
I think when it comes to Jackson,the critics look at his post season play. And until he gets over that hump he will never be perceived as “The best in the game today”. Josh Allen will go through this too. Heck,Marino,Tarkenton, Jim Kelly and a host of others would have been in the next tier with a SB win. Jackson is no different.

Since you don’t like novels,the answer to your question is quite simple. With Jackson’s exceptional ability to run,along with a RB who had a great season,if a team drops back to protect the pass,Jackson will rush for 2000 yards himself. And King Henry for another 2000.

I thought bug eyes played dead pretty convincingly when coaching the Steelers...I've never seen him do anything that would suggest life. No looking at plays, no coaching decisions, just a lifeless corpse. Oh, but with bug eyes.

Of course I'd do it, but the Rooneys would risk the super long coaching deal we have to keep hearing about, as if it is some kind of massive accomplishment...."The Rooneys have only had 3 coaches in over 50 years." We hear that stat like 5 x a year, every year. And it makes Rooney puff out his chest, like it's a major accomplishment.
