Steelers don't play smash-mouth football anymore and haven't for some time. I can see how you, as a Raven fan would like to see Tomlin stay on as coach of the Steelers long as possible.
Actually, as a Ravens fan, I'd like to see the Steelers follow in the path of the Titans and fire a great coach. How'd that work for the Titans?

Also note that the Titans are now looking for a general manager... which was the real problem.

A great coach makes the best out of his roster. Can you seriously say Tomlin does that?

The Ravens staff made a whole O gamelan around Lamar Jackson to help him develop. When did Tomlin did anything remotely similar? He wants to run the ball so he signs a RB in the 1st but he didn't have the Oline to make his new 1st rounder shine, still he wastes that pick instead of investing in foundations. He drafts a TE in the 2nd but he rarely is featured in the game plan.

Tell me how is Tomlin improving this team? Where is his greatness? Is he a great communicator? Yeap. Is he a great motivator? Probably. But he is a head coach, not the team's psychologist and his responsibilities go far beyond being liked by his players. This is not Ted Lasso, this is ******* real life.

Interesting.
The top 3 consecutive playoff loss record holders are within the division.

I’ve always been proud of the fact that this organization has set itself miles apart from those two in every way imaginable.

For the once mighty Steelers to be grouped with those two is an embarrassment… a kick to the groin.
Thanks Mr. Rooney. May I have another.

I don’t want him fired. But I would be perfectly fine with him retiring. That is the most possible outcome of many unlikely outcomes. Everyone saves face and keeps the legacy alive for the team and the coach. I doubt it happens but it would be the best option.
(In my best Jim Mora voice) "Legacy? LEGACY?" The only positive legacy this team has now is 6 dusty trophies in a cabinet. If you want to see the legacy on the field, go to the History channel.

The Steelers have been outscored in the last five playoff games to start the game drastically.
Jaguars 21-0
Browns 28-0
Chiefs 35-7
Bills 21-0
Ravens 21-0
Fire Tomlin and everyone else in charge of the incompetence

I'm not sure how anyone can look at that and not believe there are some serious deficiencies in how the team is coached and prepared.

He's basically been Marvin Lewis for a longtime, though we're just now starting to get statistical verification of it.

The crazy thing is that the Bengals were probably much more competitive in their playoffs losses under Lewis than the Steelers have been in theirs.

There is an explanation.
Tomlin said in the post game that the Ravens were the better group today.
Just so happens so were the Jags, Clowns, Chefs, Bills.

Well he could retire like Dick and Bruce did. No?

Dows it matter? He isn’t going anywhere. I don’t understand the insistence on futilely crying for something that won’t happen no matter how much people cry for it. What’s the point in beating your head against a brick wall.
Nope. He isn't. We all know that. Only hope is that Rooney forces his hand and tells Tomlin to have a hands-off approach with his coordinators. I don't even this will happen though.......but as a fan...I do hold out hope it will. Fingers crossed!!!!!

And walk away from $48 million dollars? Not a chance.
100% true....I was just trying to be humorous because both Dick and Bruce didn't retire. They were just not resigned.....but yeah. Tomlin won't walk away from that $$$$$. Just as Rooney won't fire Tomlin because of that $$$$$$.

DK Sports said (going out of memory) out scored 63 - 0 in first 1/4 of last 6 PO games

Out scored 74 - 0 in first 1/2 of the last 6 play off games.

DK actually has called for the firing of Tomlin.

This morning’s DK Sports was a VERY good take on the current status of the HC.

Salute the nation

The Ravens, Chiefs and Bills were absolutely the better team. The Browns were the beneficiaries of turnovers, lots of turnovers. The Jags matched up well against us. Always have been a thorn in our side. We have had some significant deficiencies the last three playoff games. Mostly at QB and a Wide Reciever. Regardless of anyone’s feelings about the head coach we need better players at those positions or no head coach will succeed. All head coaches need a good stable QB. Hopefully one on a cheap rookie contract for cap reasons. If Tomlin isn’t willing to coach a young QB maybe he needs to retire.

You should be angry when you get embarrassed in the playoffs yet again. I wasn't. I was expecting this. When the time has come (five years ago) you have to move on. It happened to Noll and it happened with Cowher. Simply put, I don't want to become what Cleveland is. That is what's happening. AR2 is becoming Bob Nutting. He doesn't care. Cash the checks, and throw some crumbs to the fanbase. Nothing to see here, move along and make sure you stop in the merchandise shop on the way out. Tomlin has to go.

Well do you think he will be fired? Honestly? Do you think there is any chance of it? If your answer is no then why waste your breath. Like I said I am ok if he retires. But that is the only way I see him leaving.
Yeah.. cause that’s how you get change. Just sit there on your hands and shut up. You sound like a massive *****. Unfortunately, this fan base and country in general, has a lot like you.

As bad as it looks, we have a looooooooooong way to go before we become what Cleveland is.
There is very little that makes us comparable to those clowns.

The one thing comparable is that we bytch as much as do Clown fans, and rightfully so.
Their fans would love our problems.
But until Steeler fans come to games with bags on their heads like Clowns fans have, there’s no comparison.
