The two instances of Tomlin game mismanagement which stuck out to me the most:

1) Not going for it on 4th-and-2...inches. You have to move the chains and keep your offense on the field. And more importantly, keep the Ravens' offense off of it. There was no thought, no consideration, even. The punt team was on its way out there almost immediately. They literally needed TWO INCHES. The white flag was waved; the game was essentially over at that moment.

2) Calling a timeout with the Ravens running the ball and the clock moving with 1:08 left in the first half. They are on their own 17, 3rd-and-3. They are basically saying they are content with going into halftime up 14-0. Given the complete domination at that point, why would you allow Baltimore the opportunity to convert yet another 3rd down, and give them enough time to march down the field and score the knockout punch? As poorly as the Steelers had played, Tomlin should have been ecstatic to go into halftime trailing by just two scores.

It is just a never-ending parade of ineptitude. A sad game to watch, but not a surprise.
Especially after he had said the previous week that if you can't pick up 4th and 1 you don't deserve to win.

Rooney sealed the teams fate with the contract extension last year. We are stuck with Tomlin. Looking at it now ot looks like a real bad deal. But Rooney is a business man.
The stains have the Watson contract, the Steelers have the Tomlin contract, the Bungles have the Burrows contract and the Rats have the Jackson contract.

Thankfully we are in a division with the stains or we'd be the laughingstock.....

From the sound of it,they're not replacing anyone. If the OC gets hired as a HC, then they'll need yet another one.

So it's pretty much the status quo. How pathetic.

So Dulac said Tomlin's extension was 3 years for $50 million. Nearly $17 million a year to no adjust your approach year after year is pretty steep and also a price that is going to make the next few years pretty rough for a long-time coach. I think he'll start to get the Matt Canada treatment next year during games every time something goes bad.

Tomlin is making $17M/yr, blissfully unaware that he is the Emperor with No Clothes.

what a fuuckin awesome gig!

You don’t have a Tomlin problem. You have a Rooney problem. That family has become far too wealthy and complacent.
It is possible to have both of those problems at the same time.
The Rooneys shouldn’t move on from Mike … Mike should move on from the Rooneys.
Why would Tomlin ever willingly leave one of the most lucrative protected jobs in the history of professional sports? He is able to pocket 16 million dollars a year, without any threat of losing said job, due to his repeatedly displayed ineptitude.

Exaclty, he's the 5th highest paid coach in North American sports, and has zero accountability and seems like zero expectations, why would he want to leave LOL.

I know this was in a post, but just seeing the video discussing how the Steelers haven't changed their defense. SMH.

It's nothing we don't already know. They're either lazy or stupid. I'd say some of both.

They don't put the work in to ever look like a polished team and they certainly don't change a damn thing ever.

Which gives them zero chance of ever winning a championship. They get made fools of. I feel sorry for the players who actually want to win at the highest level.

I have always wondered why we've had LBs covering #3 WRs...back in the day when Gildon was playing. They still play that same defense? Incredible. The stupidity and they still do that?

The funniest part of all this is the so called radio personalities or talk show host or whatever need Edleman to come out and say this before they even thought about it. This crap was going on way before Edleman, if you're a fan you don't need to hear Edleman say this, you see it just watching the games. Just like that dumb *** 2 DL scheme vs running teams and on running downs. I don't need an ex player to come out and say it.

It's pretty obvious more people need to say it to help dispel the myth of having great coaches.

I'm trying to figure out the reasoning? Are they lazy? Arrogant? Incompetent? Tactical idiots? Or perhaps everyone is just content with the seats being sold and the cash flow in isn't being interrupted at all.

The Steeler fans around the country certainly boost sales on road games too. That's abundantly clear from the crowds in the stands.

I guess just giving the perception of being a team in the hunt is good enough to get the job done.

Heck, most under 25 years old wouldn't know what a championship Steeler team looks like anyway.

All they know is being mediocre and getting stomped round one in the playoffs.

It will continue to happen until they get off their *** and make the changes needed.

Which doesn't look like that will be occurring anytime soon.

Everyone is all fat&happy, the cash is flowing in and they get to walk by 6 old tarnished trophies built by the greatness of those long before them.

I think in most team’s locker rooms………… we are the laughingstocks.

My own personal crusade, I removed any semblance of Steeler endorsements from all of my vehicles until Tomlin is gone.
Means nothing, but I will no longer promote this trainwreck.

One man taking his stand, I commend you SIR !!!!

Cracks are starting to show from the players. TJ’s body language doesn’t lie.
