Flores suing the NFL, alleges racism in coaching hiring practices.

I don’t disagree with Steve A Smith that he would have been fired…but Tomlin would have a job with another team in less then a week.

And had that been the case, there would have went Flores' fictitious claims.

I don't disagree that Tomlin would have gotten another job, but the days of the Rooney Rule overshadowing his incompetency and protecting his job would have been over. Unless he went to a stacked team, he would be exposed quickly and fired in less than 3 years.

I bet Flores would have gotten a new job this cycle if not for this distraction. He still might too.
I thought Flores was going to the Texans. I actually though that's why they fired Culley. The franchise is a mess and lacks talent, so Flores is the type of coach they could build from the ground up using his style...if they commit to him for 4-5 years because this rebuild will take time.

Brian Flores should not want Hue Jackson to join the lawsuit

The 58-page lawsuit filed five days ago by former Dolphins coach Brian Flores mentions plenty of names and examples when it comes to the racial “double standard” (as admitted by NFL executive V.P. of football operations Troy Vincent) in NFL coaching. Flores at no point mentions former Browns coach Hue Jackson.

That likely wasn’t a mistake. Beyond the fact that Hue simply wasn’t a very good coach is the fact that Hue has, in recent days, been all over the place, making strong accusations that he was paid to lose games and then clumsily walking them back. While it makes sense for Jackson to change his tune on cash-for-clunking if (unlike Flores) Hue actually took the money and thus committed a potential violation of federal law, Jackson has come off in recent days as far less credible than Flores. At times, Jackson has seemed not credible at all.

Soooo... Flores is just now understanding what the Rooney Rule does? He's mad they brought him in for an interview even though they wanted to hire Daboll.
Yes, Flores.. that is exactly how the Rooney Rule works. They need to satisfy bringing in a minority candidate whether they want to hire you or not and therefore, have total freedom to waste your time. Minorities wanted the rule, you got the rule. Goodluck on that lawsuit.
Meh.....the NFL wanted the rule for obvious reasons. If minorities actually got a fair shake the NFL would never have had to make the rule.

Are you able to expand upon your belief that minorities are not being given a "fair shake" in the NFL? What are you basing this on exactly? Please advise.

Simple. The NFL started the Rooney Rule.

Deep thoughts.

Is the Rooney Rule proof of minorities not getting a fair shake in the NFL? The "Rule" has existed for almost 18 years and we still have minorities alleging that they aren't getting a fair shake.

Given your assertion that minorities aren't being given a fair shake, I was hoping you could cite a specific minority candidate that was wronged and offer verifiable proof of this individual being wronged. Are you able to provide such a citation?

Thanks.

Ahhhh there it is. I knew you would eventually expose yourself.

There is many of slip between a cup and a lip.

I was referring to why the rule was started. If the rule wasn't in place would they(minorities)be given the opportunities that the rule affords them now? I don't know. Maybe.

You know this guy could just read the statement that the NFL itself put out this weekend admitting that it has and continues to lag in providing minorities opportunities and that the NFL would be hiring outside consultants to see where they are failing and to provide recommendations on how to fix it.
Instead, this guy is asking you for a "citation". smh

A spokesperson for the Browns called the charge "completely fabricated" and said that "any accusation that any member of our organization was incentivized to deliberately lose games is categorically false."

Yeah, I have to go with the spokesperson on that one. The Clowns don't need any help in losing; it's their specialty.

Thanks for conceding that you aren't actually aware of any specific instances where a coaching candidate didn't receive a job due to racism. It's important that we don't let the left media, our current administration, or any and all others affiliated with the woke mob (in this case Brian Flores) to convince us that things are happening or not happening due to "racism". Their goal is to brainwash you with their propaganda. If you don't drop to your knees and concede that everything is the result of "racism", their intent is to convince you that you, yourself, are a racist.

If Brian Flores, along with any other minority HC that lost their job, was good at what they did, they'd still have their jobs. End of. Don't allow them to manipulate you into thinking otherwise. The woke mob's goal is to cancel everyone and everything that doesn't promote their false narrative that is intended to cause further divide. Don't buy into it or assist them with spreading their fallacy. Stay strong and don't be afraid to call out their lies.
