I never thought that Haskins was going to take over sh*t, because he just was never any good in the NFL. There's a reason that 31 other professional teams didn't bother to pick him up when the Football Team waived him in December of 2020.
But you're right, bro. Going from a pick in the first half of the first round in 2019 to getting cut the next year to carrying a clipboard as a third-stringer in Pittsburgh last season (because Mike Tomlin did him a favor and they signed him to the league minimum) wasn't struggling. Poor guy just never had a chance. Haskins was going to tear it up this year, right? That must be why the Steelers re-signed the career backup who beat him out for the #2 job last year, and brought in another guy to start. Makes perfect sense.
