Apparently Buffalo, NY got 6'4" of snow yesterday which may be a national record for a 24 hour period. Al Gore must be in town.
I am SO glad I don't have to go through there any more once or twice a month to see my kids or pick them up for weekends from the ex. Been through some nasty weather there but nothing like that.

If not for Global Warming, Buffalo would have got 17 feet of snow instead of 6'4".

I have related the story in the past of how Mrs. Burgundy and I watched the Pats* undefeated season come to an end at the hands of the Giants from the Red Roof Inn in Henrietta, NY because the NY Thruway was closed at the west Buffalo toll booths. We had been to Watertown to see my kids. Ended up taking some state route south to Harrisburg the next day and home on the PA Turnpike because I wasn't sure what I-80 would be like either. By the end of the week western NY had over 10 feet of snow and Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel was set up in the parking lot of a restaurant north of Syracuse that I'd been to many times. Snow was up to the gutters on the roof of the place by the end of the week.

According to the Environment Ministry, Germany would have to find a way of cutting emissions by between 62 and 100 million tonnes of CO2 every year for the next sixteen years in order to reach the target. Shutting down coal power stations would only contribute 40 million tonnes to that target

Except for the fact that such theory was proffered only after the projected warming did NOT happen. Global warming scientists posited the following effects from greenhouse gases:

October was "the sixth consecutive month where the ocean has been record warm," Deke Arndt, chief of climate monitoring at NOAA's National Climatic Data Center, told reporters. And the average ocean temperatures for each of those months "have all been the warmest for that month on record."
