Governor Pritzker and Mayor Johnson lose the Bears to Indiana

Don’t fear, that tax savings and potential income for the city of Hammond will soon be offset to higher tax’s to pay for the stadium.!!

The people of Hammond are domed to slavery to the GREED MACHINE should this take place.

Nobody is going to drive to Hammond to eat supper / fill their gas tanks / buy school clothes / hire the car detailer / ect. Ect. .

Salute the nation

It's not just the Bears leaving. This is happening in every blue state, leaving the middle class to foot the tax bill.

Boeing
Caterpillar
Citadel
Tyson Foods
Morton Salt
TTX
Guggenheim Partners

Pritzker has made Illinois toxic for businesses.

Have to disagree DIC…
This is like manna from heaven for Hammond and the Hoosier state in general..

Not sure why.

As mentioned above, the Bills play in Orchard Park, the Giants and Jests play in New Jersey and the new KC stadium will be moved over the state line. The stains are moving south of Cleveland and the lions played a few decades in Auburn Hills.

Im sure there are many more examples.

But it's the Chicago Bears. Just as iconic as you can get. Them and the Grean Bay Packers. It would be just wrong for either team to move

They are not moving.
The stadium is moving 30 minutes over that way. Jets did it, Giants did it, Lions did it.....

If the Steelers moved 40 minutes away to Steubenville Ohio….
I would certainly consider that moving out of Pittsburgh..
No matter how you sugar coat it..

On the bright side.. the city is on the Ohio river and they could call the stadium One Rivers Stadium! 😃

They're moving the location of the stadium, not moving the franchise. Some of you are making this seem like the Colts or Raiders relocating entirely.

BTW, the Bears are the 2nd NFL team in Chicago. The Chicago Cardinals were formed in 1920, the Bears were founded as the Decatur Staleys in the same year in Decatur, Illinois.

You are the only one old enough to remember them playing.

It would be weird. Like if the Steelers moved to MD.

When i was young, we would get plastic "batting helmets " to wear when we played wiffle ball.

I got the california angels helmet because it was so obscure it was cool.. The whole american league back then was so foreign to us.. They had to be not
as good as the National League.. Even their baseball cards were wierd , and their uniforms.
Remember the white sox uni's with the huge navy blue collars?

I bought a Sox helmet as a tyke at a Reds game. It was totally badass. I also remember me and my brothers surreptitiously removing that protective plastic inner liner leaving those hard plastic spikes to jam into one's skull, which always brought pain to the wearer and laughter and hilarity to the rest of us.

Good times.
