Hell of a Win

no more important is winning games

yes the bad play calling is hindering the offense, yet many here give Kenny a pass for that but hold Mitch's feet to the fire over it

right now they are roughly the same guy...both are better when rolling out and are able to move the chains with their legs

as I said, I still go back to Kenny when he is able to go....but if he fails to improve and Mitch can give them a better shot at winning...you go with him
That’s where we differ Coolie! This is not a playoff team and I except that so the only way you know for sure if Kenny is the QB for the future is let him play, learn, make his mistakes, and grow into this with this offense.
This is a rebuilding year whether some want to admit it or not. I want Kenny to play and gain experience for next year. I don’t want to hinder that experience for a journeyman QB in hopes of making the playoffs just to get destroyed again, I’m tired of that!
I think Kenny is the real deal and has the intangibles that Mitch could never have. Just have to be patient with him.
He was up an down today. Not great, not terrible. Just trying to find a rythem with this offense.
I know what we have in Trubisky but no way I know what Kenny’s potential is. Let’s all be patient with him this year and build on this team next year.

Most the credit should come to the defense. So many backups and practice squad players and they really stepped up. But I’m going to name a few individuals. Terrell Edmunds really stepped up in run defense. Tre Norwood wasn’t Fitz but the drop off was very manageable. Bush had a few key tackles and that 2-pt conversion pass deflection. Myles Jack finger tip PD that saved a TD. Highsmith for getting pressure on Brady. Larry for that big goal line TFL that probably saved a TD.
On the offense. Mitch for coming in cold and getting warmed up pretty quickly. Claypool for all those third down catches. Gentry for sealing the edge for a few nice runs. Pickens for snagging some nice balls.
And on special teams. Bos for a 55 yarder that literally couldn’t have been an inch shorter. Sims for a couple electric returns.

The first drive was scripted well but after that it was very inconsistent. It’s nice to know our last ever Tom Brady meeting we came out on top though.

this team is not as bad as their record. If TJ can come back and be TJ then the defense is instantly better

if canada can get out of the way and someone can get the offense clicking with Kenny or Mitch, this team could take this weak *** division

Coolie, I’m looking forward to Watt coming back and certainly that will make a difference but I’m not feeling it brother. Far too many holes on both sides of the ball, poor coaching, poor schemes, etc.
I’m thinking 6-11 which I know sucks but there’s just to much to fix, and it won’t get fixed this year.
I know it’s about winning but just don’t see it this year buddy.

we have been in every game but the Bills. with TJ we are probably 5-1. hell without him we could have been

which shows why no one ever claims aggies are smart

while it may not last, the Steelers just duct tapped together a defense from the practice squad and made brady look mediocre

the first offense drive was very good...after that canada sucks

when Mitch took over the offense actually went over the middle and Mitch himself made some great plays(as did claypool)

I am going to expect wins no matter who is at qb or who the other team is

until they are out of it, they need to put the best guys on the field no matter who they are

next year will take care of itself

I hope you and Coolie are right when TJ comes back. We still have to contend with this pop gun offense, breakdowns on defense even with TJ, no running game, can’t defend the middle of the field, can’t stop the rush, won’t use the middle of the field. Other than then that we’re good.

well the defense did all of that today and the offense made several big plays across the middle

Get your *** off the couch one of these Sundays and come up to Kingwood and watch the game at Molly’s Pub. I’ll pm you the address.
I’ll wear my Aggies shirt and you can display your Coogs gear.
We can argue over who should play QB!

I'm not driving to Kingwood and paying to drink during the game

and if I go to watch a Steeler game I am definitely wearing Steeler gear

One game grasshopper! I want to see it again in Miami. Then we may have a trend.

First off you cheap ******* I’ll buy your drinks.
Second, wear your Steeler gear. Today I had my Pickett Jersey on and my Astros ballcap.

I think some are glueing in too much in what Kenny didn't do. What he did do is lead to 13 points. He will have highs and lows. But this game produced his highest rating.

I still think he is trending in the right direction.

87 is his highest rating? Damn. Around here, QB's get roasted for numbers like that.

Made for a pleasant evening, we did not see that coming. No sense in arguing Kenny Mitch, Kenny is the future Mitch did his job and did it well today. Whear those shirts with pride this week.

Something they couldn't do when full strength, I wonder if it was the "rookie at bat that doesn't know what he is up against", either way glad for their grit.

I think O'Canada can script plays with the best of them but once the script runs out, he has to use his brain inside his hollow head.

Many are on that boat regardless of what s said POST win or loss, I enjoy the wins and always expect more regardless of opponent

until they are out of it, they need to put the best guys on the field no matter who they are
Unfortunately with the current coaching regime there is PEDIGREE involved, Higher your draft rank the better the chance you play, regardless.

next year will take care of itself
fully agree

Salute the nation

Point is he is trending on the right direction.😁😉

I think many thought Pickett would be a magical savior and Mitch stinks. I like what i have seen from pickett, but i do not think we win the game with him yesterday. Mitch is not that bad and the success of both QBs rely on Canada. Pickett's accuracy was not great yesterday he was throwing high alot. The difference is WRs were making plays for both QBs. I think Pickett's arm was hit on the wobbler to DJ so i won't fault him on that. I think Mitch gives the team the best chance to win right now while Pickett is the future. This team is not super bowl caliber unless the coaches learn how to coach / gameplan so we may as well stick with Pickett. The defensive game plan was much better and we got just enough pressure. They just seemed to play more aggressive. The offense had its moments, but still very lacking in play calling or game planning. Converting a 3rd and 16 and 3rd and 11 to close out the game seemed near unbelievable. Just hope the team learns from this
