**** you blind *** ref. And **** you NFL for sacking Cam with a $22k fine for telling a ref that he ******* sucks....because that ref obviously ******* sucks. Video of the play in question here ---> http://www.Invalid Link - Check SN ...-heyward-fined-22050-unsportsmanlike-conduct/

I don't think games are fixed. I do think the system is broke and the refs don't know their *** from the hole in the wall.

I have said for awhile every play should be reviewable. EVERY ONE

Add one moar challenge per game to each team, and when they are out they are out.

Because there is a lot of horrible calls from these temporary NFL hires that show me so much incompetence such a high level that it would make a fan wonder if the game was fixed.

There is no freedom of speech in the NFL.

Based on Tomlin's comments in that article, he will probably get fined too. Everybody thought and knew it was holding but the ref standing right there. Absolutely pitiful. They are so busy watching for penalties to call to pussify the league that they can't see the obvious true penalties anymore.

There are bad calls every game and I understand them. What I don't understand is how they blatantly miss calls (the holding on Spence and the OPI on Brown). Spence could potentially make a stop for a four-yard loss. Instead, it's a touchdown.

I have said it a thousand times NFL officiating is the WORST in all professional or college athletics. I will watch a season of Penn State football with only yelling at my TV once a year tops. Steelers I can't watch a game without wanting someone with a high powered rifle and scope to take out one of these *** clowns. I am not sure if it's lack of training or just an overall inability to see what a common football fan knows. I actually know the rules I believe better than most refs in the NFL. At least a dozen times a year I tell a buddy how the refs got a call wrong then look it up and show him exactly where it states it.

Beyond missed calls, I'm sure the number of ridiculous and difficult to interpret rules doesn't help.

Not fixed...just ******* idiots that don't know what they're doing.

I'm in the corner of thinking the NFL is bullshit made for TV crap. I see it as entertainment and not a true sport anymore.

This right here. It has become too much of a money maker and it really isnt a sport anymore. It is WWF on a grander scale.

So you're saying it's orchestrated and/or fixed?

Very true. The litany of ever-changing rules, penalties, variations, intepretations (5 yards from LOS? More? Impede the receiver? Pass catchable? Defender engaged? 2nd blocker immediately next to original blocker? Lead with crown of helmet? Helmet-to-helmet? Who initiated? Runner within zone where he can lower helmet? And on and on and on ...), and purely subjective interpretation on offensive holding and defensive holding make the game damn near unwatchable.

The simple fact is this: The refs can call a penalty on every play, either on the offense or defense, and have enough video evidence that most would say, "Ehh, yeah, I can see the penalty."

Since they can call something on every play, when they DO make a call it is an absolute mystery as to "Why here? Why now?" I do notice that almost every holding call on a Steelers WR occurs on a play resulting in a big gain and a first down.

Anyone who thinks the NFL in some situations is not fixed is on f'ing drugs. You let betters in Vegas go big time heavy on a side and wait and see how calls will be made at the end to ensure that the team being heavily bet on does not cover. A classic example was a Steeler game a few years back with the Chargers at Heinz Field when on the final play of the game the Steelers recovered a fumble on the kickoff and ran it in that would have allowed them to cover the number and magically the TD was disallowed. It was one of the most blatant fixes I have ever seen and it happens often. Don't fool yourself....it's not all the time but some games are DEFINITELY fixed.

I generally do not think that NFL games are fixed, but yeah that game had every marking of a fixed game. Very controlled scoring and then when
SD gave up a TD is was not allowed when even Stevie Wonder could see it was a TD
