I can't think of one reason but give me 1 good reason.....

He's never had a losing season as a head coach. I know we make fun of it, but that's literally the only reason at this point. The playoff failures are beyond what any other team would tolerate. If New England can part ways with Bill Belichick, the Steelers can move on from Mike Tomlin.

I get that but in 18 years as Head Coach he's had 8 December football collapses.....and by that I mean he's had 8 seasons out of 18 where he's lost 3 of the last 4 or 4 of the last 5 December football games! If you want a head coach who collapses 44% of the time in the NFL down the stretch when football matters then I guess Mike Tomlin is your guy! And keep in mind he had a Hall of Fame QB for 15 of those 18 years! Compare that to Bill Cowher and it happened to Cowher twice....1998 & 1999! Cowher's best QB was his last 3 years coaching when he had a young Big Ben! Bill Bellichick was 72 years old and the team needed a complete rebuild! Also in Week 14 last season of Bill Bellichick's coaching career vs New England he went into Pittsburgh with a 2-10 Patriots team for a Thursday Night matchup and he still managed to beat the Steelers 21-18!

Because they’ve only had three coaches in the 4,376 years. Tradition. It’s the Steelers way. Blah blah blah. There is no reason at this point.
^^^^^^^. This! I think they love to hang their hat on the 3 coach thing as much as the never losing season under Tomlin thing. I love tradition too but for shitsakes!!!!! Something’s gotta give here.

Give me 1 good reason why the Pittsburgh Steelers should keep Mike Tomlin as their Head Coach? I honestly can't think of one thing this guy can offer or bring to this organization & team that any other Head Coach can't!
iu

Interviewing new head coaches is a real inconvenience to my day. I wish my Dad was still here, he'd take care of it.

He has lost 5 straight playoff games in embarrassing fashion, with his team getting walloped early in each game to the point where the TV announcers call out the teams effort.

Mike's standard is substandard.

Playoff losses are one thing. But we've been so uncompetitive in every one of those losses. 😡

The boo birds need to be out next year.
Tomlick will weaponize that noise. He already said so.

He now despises the fans and will stay as long as possible to spite them. This happened with Calipari at UK. Hes finally gone and I’m having fun again.

This is where I bow out as its no fun.

At this point what harm would it do to get a new coach? We would suck? Guess what? We suck now. We have been sucking. We hit the ceiling with this moron. I'm willing to have a losing season in the process of trying to get to the next level.

He got a 3 year extension at $16 million a year so if my math is right that's 48 million reasons why Deuce will keep him.

this guy agrees:

He's right. And I'd be pissed too if I wasted my money going to that dumpster fire in person.

I could give two ***** about the draft, who the sign or don't sign.

The outcome will still be the same.

I on the other hand won't be watching this horseshit if the status quo is kept. It's not fun and they've taken away all hope. I'll know they have zero chance before the season even starts.

He is right
and if the Steelers don’t care then why should I.
For the first time in my life I am going to give up on this team until they make a coaching change.
Look at Russell Wilson’s second half stats compared to his first half stats in this game alone.
IMO that is coaching

This Defense is an embarrassment anymore. Even more so than our Offense in my opinion. Tomlin has his fingers in both for years now....

I read in our last 6 playoff games we have been out scored 73 to 0 in the first quarter.

I don't blame Tomlin anymore. The blame falls right on the lap of ....Rooney.

The defense gave up 299 yards rushing! The only reason it wasn't more was the rats took a knee. I would have ran it in for another TD.

Then it's buddy buddy sign my jersey time.

Yep. 100%. If he's cool with it,then this team is screwed.

He can't actually believe Tomlin can take this team to a championship. I think as long as that $$$ keeps rolling in ,all is well.

Mike Tomlin was the first African-American head coach hired by the Steelers after the Rooney Rule was established:

  • Rooney Rule
The Rooney Rule requires NFL teams to interview at least one minority candidate when hiring a new head coach. The rule was proposed by Dan Rooney, the owner of the Steelers and head of the NFL's diversity committee.

  • Tomlin
Tomlin was hired by the Steelers before the 2007 season. He is the 10th African-American head coach in NFL history and the longest-tenured coach in the league. Tomlin has never had a losing season in his 17 years as head coach.

I knew it was over when we punted on 4th and inches. I felt like Apollo Creed in Rocky III — THERE IS NO TOMORROW!
