I can't think of one reason but give me 1 good reason.....

I am torn on this. They played bad but frankly they may have looked at what the offense was not doing in the first half and lost all hope. They look demoralized. They seem to life at least briefly with some offense. The d line is too old and I don’t even mean Cam. He is ageless but Adams and Larry O are worn out and done late in the season. We need youth on the line to sustain late in the season. After QB and WR it is the top need. If we can address all three in free agency and the draft it will help the coaching regardless of who is in charge.
Stop making excuses! You sound like a Steelers front officer Tomlin supporter! This Steelers team was healthy down the stretch compared to every other playoff team! Rats were down their best WR in Zay Flowers! The Chiefs roster of playmakers on offense has been decimated all season but somehow the next man up has done his job! Mike Tomlin is not a good football coach! Before coming to the Steelers he was the Defensive Coordinator for the Vikings in 2006 and they ranked 31st in the NFL against the pass! Why would you give someone with those credentials the Head Coaching Job? That 2006 Vikings team went 6-10.

Give me 1 good reason why the Pittsburgh Steelers should keep Mike Tomlin as their Head Coach? I honestly can't think of one thing this guy can offer or bring to this organization & team that any other Head Coach can't!

There are no reasons, there are excuses.

No losing seasons, and players relate to him used to be reasons, now they’ve become excuses.

Excuses are used to lessen the blame.

Mike Tomlin got a crappy team into the playoffs two years in a row. He may not be the coach you want but he isn’t a bad coach. I would be fine with him retiring. I think he has gotten stale and too set in his ways. It isn’t an excuse to say we are outmanned at certain positions. That can be at least partially attributed to his decisions. But it is a fact. A few games aside Wilson isn’t the QB he once was and we didn’t adjust the system enough for him and we don’t have the receivers we need. The defense needs improved with youth but they lived on the field for 5 weeks in a row. Some was their fault some was the offenses fault. Regardless of whether he stays or goes we have to improve at QB reciever and DLine or we won’t win in the playoffs. It won’t matter who is coach.

Tomlin isn't as good as you think he is though. Dude is not retiring. Laughable that you keep saying that.

I thought Russ was going to be the difference maker. A few stated just what you did here. We were told Russ was going to make EVERYONE on offense better.

As far as adjusting the system. That is a point we have made about Tomlin for years now. He controls the offense. Doesn't matter who you put in there. The system is the system. It sucks.

Congratulations.....after looking at this post and others you have made over this past week or so. You now are an honorary official "Tomlin Hater" whether you want that honor or not.

I have probably watched 3 quarters of the Steelers during their losing streak. I just turn it off. I never use to do that. I started doing this last year. It is not really fun anymore. I turned it off yesterday at 14-0. I did not go back either.

After a disappointing season, fans of all sports franchises have always had hope, a just wait until next year type of attitude.
If Tomlin remains, and I have no reason to believe that he won't, the optimism of the new season is but a mirage.

True, but you'll notice the over$ea$ game$ are never home game$ for the good team$.
I’d be willing to wager Steelers will be the “home” team in Ireland 🤷🏻‍♂️. Now whether they are a “good” team is up for debate but they will be the money draw of it.

highest paid also means older. Without time of possession being in our favor it means too old. younger and cheaper so we can spend on offense. that's the league now. Tomlin better realize it.

it all comes down to what year it is. If next year we should be the home team as we get 9 home games.

We probably don't have anymore older players playing on our D than every other d in the league.

The offense got a couple first downs and pinned the ravens at their own 5. Then the D gave up a 95yrd drive

That's why the best days are long gone, before everyone got ridiculously wealthy and the game was pure.

Now they promote fantasy football and gambling. Hell they've gotten so greedy looking for money, they have the teams play in other countries .
When they promote gambling and football franchises are worth billions of dollars just based off merchandise and namesake. It’s hard to argue otherwise.

College football is becoming the same way.

Nope not a hater, neither are you or most others. You know I have said all along it is only the ALWAYS negative I have called haters. There are not many of them luckily. The ones who never ever say a positive thing. I have plenty of things I can ***** about, I just try to stay of a more positive mindset for my health and certain people are toxic. I have done something I used to avoid I am now just ignoring them, the toxic posters. I can't handle them and watching this **** show, not after triple bypass, lol.

Yeah, they did. I haven't said they were good now have I. But we are not the only team they have done that to. I have only said they need help from the offense not that they don't need to play better themselves. As an old D Line player and coach, being on the field so much on the first half, due to their failures and the offenses failures, set them up to be run over in the second half. They honestly did more in the second half than I thought they would based on the beating they took in the first half. Henry is a freaking beast.

With a playoff loss next season he would be tied with Marty for the all time record of 7 in a row.....the good part about that is if that happens most likely we finished with a non-losing season.

I don't think Marty had 7 straight playoff losses, stillwright. I think he was fired after his 6th straight playoff loss, the 24-21 loss in the first round to the Patsies in 2007.

Think about it ... Marty lost in the playoffs for the 6th straight time after going 14-2 and squandering 14-3 and 21-13 leads to the Patsies and Tom Brady. The Chargers picked off Brady three times and lost when their kicker missed a 54-yard field goal attempt that would have tied the game, where they outgained the Patsies and Brady 352 yards to 324 yards. That was not good enough and Marty was fired.

Mediocre Mike of course will NOT be canned after getting mauled yet again in a game where he was getting his doors blown off 21-0 at halftime.

So get the #1 seed by going 14-2, but lose by a field goal to a HOF QB after leading most of the game? Fired.

Put up another flaccid 10-7 or 9-7-1 or 9-8 non-losing season and get raped in the 1st round yet again? Coach is as safe as can be imagined.

The NFL doesn't send too many "good" teams overseas.

A high contract buyout and a no trade clause. That’s 2. Any other team would show him the door. I like Tomlin. I’m glad he is part of the organization but his tenure has long become stale and it is time for a change. The Steelers won’t because of the buy out. Now if it happens this week or so that he has been fired I would be shocked.

I think that is going to change. Everyone will be going overseas or to neutral sites at some point now. It is the new cash cow.
At this point, it should be everyone's extra game that got added. 8 home, 8 away, 1 international.

That Defense you are referring saying it needs to be improved has a payroll of $150 Million bucks this season! It needs a complete overhaul!

I'm just saying for a first drive in a hostile environment the offense gave the D a good chance to flip the field. Instead we got run over which was deflating. Of course the offense did not do anything after that, but the D was not playing with fire as pointed out by multiple people. Maybe they could not buy into the gameplan and were going through the motions

Only we're not Tomlin haters. Just Steelers fans and the team comes before any man. It will go on long after they're gone.

If it's a hater to want to see them actually compete for championship again, then so be it.

I think most of us have been around long enough to know what a championship level Steeler team looks like.

Good grief how many years do we have to sit through the exact same things every year.

I feel like I've been saying the same **** at the end of the season for over 10 years. Which are pretty much carbon copies of each other.
