I can't think of one reason but give me 1 good reason.....

Yep. 100%. If he's cool with it,then this team is screwed.

He can't actually believe Tomlin can take this team to a championship. I think as long as that $$$ keeps rolling in ,all is well.

So does any of the Pittsburgh media ever call him to task on this? Or do the nut huggers who cover the team consider him off limits?

Maybe if he had to stand in front of a mic and explain why this is acceptable things would be different.

I knew it was over when we punted on 4th and inches. I felt like Apollo Creed in Rocky III — THERE IS NO TOMORROW!
Down by 14 points.......Ravens just get the ball back with around 6 plus minutes left. After a first down run by the Ravens I thought we would start using our TOs. Of course we didn't force a 3 and out but don't you at that point have to assume we will or hope we will? Tomlin started calling the TO's inside of 2 minutes after the Raven's were in FG range. In the end it didn't matter. Raven's simply ran the clock out.

Rocking the boat and you might lose access to the team.

As long as fans continue to buy merch and tickets sale. Nothing will change.

From an owner perspective he’s hitting his goals.
The on field stuff that is novelty for us. And for the most part. Die hard fans are phased out in today’s fantasy football demographic.

It’s $$$. Always will be about money

I on the other hand won't be watching this horseshit if the status quo is kept. It's not fun and they've taken away all hope. I'll know they have zero chance before the season even starts.
My fandom took a serious hit when Shades got a 3 year extension in the off-season. I've said the Steelers were no longer must-see TV for me although I've watched every game. Mrs. Burgundy is the one who DVR's NASCAR in favor of watching Steeler games live but we might flip that script next season.

Yes. All true but a basic level you knew that HE knew there was no confidence or hope from anyone on the field to say, yeah go for it coach, we’ll get it.

Ask too many tough questions and your press pass is revoked so you don't ask any more tough questions.

Agreed. You still have to call the TO's at that point. And if you didn't as Tomlin...why start calling them later?

That's why the best days are long gone, before everyone got ridiculously wealthy and the game was pure.

Now they promote fantasy football and gambling. Hell they've gotten so greedy looking for money, they have the teams play in other countries .

Tomlin should be gone. Winning in the playoffs is the measuring stick for most coaches on most teams but not for the Steelers. They put more weight on winning in the regular season and then getting blown out in 6 playoff games in a row. It truly is pathetic.

True, but you'll notice the over$ea$ game$ are never home game$ for the good team$.

We still could put out a "real" competitive team. Other teams do. Why not us? Why settle for what the Rooney family have settled for?

What chaps my *** is when you see teams like the Texan's struggle at the end of the year, then come out like they did yesterday and completely kick the Charger's *****. You NEVER see a Steeler team under Tomlin right the ship like that.

Everyone said, "Oh, the Steelers need to win the last game so they will have an easy draw in Houston."

Yea, it would have been easy alright. Easy for the Texans.

I'm sure to them, they are competitive. They win more games than they lose. The seats are sold out and there's a waiting list.

Even the away games make everyone money. Just look at all of the Steeler fans who buy tickets to those games and take over stadiums.

They just can't honestly care about championships anymore with that kind of unwavering support no matter what.

Just like the HC, he's got a job no matter the outcome as long they play .500 ball or better in the regular season. The horrific post season doesn't matter because winning in that obviously doesn't matter at all.

In fairness I thought the offensive gameplan was not terrible to start the game. In weeks 11-18 the ravens were #1 in alot of defensive categories. The defensive gameplan on the other hand was awful. The LBs rocketed toward Henry leaving huge areas unprotected. I get trying it but it wasn't stopping Henry or Lamar and that should have been obvious after a few plays. Of course I am on board for still firing Tomlin..

He has lost 5 straight playoff games in embarrassing fashion ...

Mediocre Mike is one-and-done five straight playoffs but the losing streak began in 2016 with the mauling by the Patriots in the AFC Championship game so it is now 6 straight playoff blowout losses.

I was thinking more about our lack of playoff success of late(last decade).....but yeah......18 straight non-losing seasons. Yay!!!

KP sports daily......stated that James Harrison started screaming at the D coaches about our OLBers crashing down on the RBs play after play. When were they going to make an adjustment? This was in the 3rd quarter. Watt stated that players do what the coaches tell them to do. Some on here say players make plays....but the coaches have to put the players in position to make plays. Coaches need to game plan and make adjustments during the game. Tomlin has stated that they don't let other teams dictate what he chooses to do or not to do. And I believe him.

If this current streak isn’t enough to fire him, going under .500 for a season isn’t going to do it.

This Defense is an embarrassment anymore. Even more so than our Offense in my opinion. Tomlin has his fingers in both for years now....
I am torn on this. They played bad but frankly they may have looked at what the offense was not doing in the first half and lost all hope. They look demoralized. They seem to life at least briefly with some offense. The d line is too old and I don’t even mean Cam. He is ageless but Adams and Larry O are worn out and done late in the season. We need youth on the line to sustain late in the season. After QB and WR it is the top need. If we can address all three in free agency and the draft it will help the coaching regardless of who is in charge.

With a playoff loss next season he would be tied with Marty for the all time record of 7 in a row.....the good part about that is if that happens most likely we finished with a non-losing season.

They will keep the bum. He has lost the locker room. They need to get rid of a lot of players. Draft or bring in new people who his message will be new to.

You keep shifting the blame on the Offense. Our D gives up long sustained drives. Part of the bend but don't break scheme. They themselves keep themselves on the field. Our D rarely gets 3 and outs. I am not saying our D plays without heart. Watching Watt Heyward Roberts Elliot etc out there busting their ***'s off play after play.....they were all heart. If they were demoralized by anything it was the position the coaches kept putting them in on each play. Watt Highsmith crashed down on the RB on every play. Jackson kept it and scampered off for big gains. At what point do you change that? Make an adjustment. Why was there no one there to take Jackson afterwards? Coaches failed this D last nite. Not the offense.
