RIP Heather Heyer, 32. And prayers for the 19 Americans currently in critical and serious condition in hospital. What a brutal and senseless act.

<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FWorldHipHopReport%2Fvideos%2F1601250113280187%2F&show_text=0&width=560" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" height="420" frameborder="0" width="560"></iframe>

And to those trying to spread the blame, it's abundantly clear who is responsible for these acts of violence.

Propublica notes that the white supremacists who arrived on Saturday “had spent months openly planning for war”:

The Daily Stormer, a popular neo-Nazi website, encouraged rally attendees to bring shields, pepper spray, and fascist flags and flagpoles. A prominent racist podcast told its listeners to come carrying guns. “Bring whatever you need, that you feel you need for your self defense. Do what you need to do for security of your own person,” said Mike “Enoch” Peinovich on The Right Stuff podcast.

And the white supremacists who showed up in Charlottesville did indeed come prepared for violence. Many wore helmets and carried clubs, medieval-looking round wooden shields, and rectangular plexiglass shields, similar to those used by riot police.

Here is James Alex Fields - the white extremist domestic terrorist who rammed his car into a group of peaceful Americans - on the front lines of the Far Right rally hours before his cowardly act.

James Fields Jr., the maniac driver who police say steered his beloved Dodge Challenger into a crowd of peaceful protesters, had been brandishing a shield emblazoned with a white supremacist emblem just hours before the deadly rampage.

The Daily News photographed Fields on the front lines of a volatile rally about 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Charlottesville — flanked by other white men in polo shirts and tan slacks clutching the racially charged black-and-white insignia of the Vanguard America hate group.

Hatch's brother DID die so that everyone can express their beliefs regardless of how pathetic others view those beliefs. I dont benlieve anyone here is claiming that the right to violence and to harm others go along with that freedom of expression.

I think it would be safe to say that those who resorted to looting and violence in Ferguson and Baltimore were Obama supporters, but there were no claims that Obama condoned or was responsible for their actions. Yet, when a small group of knuckleheads back President Trump, you claim that he is 100% on board with their actions? C'mon Tibs...that's where you lose any credibility.

The Governor of Virginia Just Said What Trump Refuses To Say
http://reverepress.com/news/governor-virginia-just-said-trump-refuses-say/

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe did what President Donald Trump could not on Saturday.
He flat out denounced the white nationalists, neo-Nazis and other bigots who caused chaos in the streets of Charlottesville this weekend.

In a press conference, the governor told the fascists that they were not wanted in the “great Commonwealth” of Virginia. “Shame on you,” he said to the protesters, for showing up and hurting people.

You want to talk about patriots, talk about Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, who brought our country together. Think about the patriots today, the young men and women, who with wearing the cloth of our country. Somewhere around the globe they are putting their life in danger. They are patriots. You are not.

In his remarks, McCauliffe also commended first responders, clergy members and others who were involved in managing the incidents caused by the neo-Nazis and white nationalists. He also commended the “courageous” students at the University of Virginia who surrounded the statue of Thomas Jefferson to protect it from the Nazis who gathered bearing torches on the campus.

LOL...the hypocrisy is never lost in libtard land. The stuff they condone (and sponsor even) can be mirrored exactly by the right and they will break bad on every little thing that is done. It's like their actions are done by invisible people that nobody can judge, while the actions of others, while exactly the same, are open to public scrutiny and condemned.

You see it every day

But then again, it's nothing new. We have seen it before and we will continue to see it.

It's who they are.

Was away all day yesterday at a family function and missed all the excitement on the news.
This is what happens when government gets too big and powerful though. Too many people on both sides expect too much instead of doing their own thing and taking care of themselves.

Now that we are getting more information, it certainly appears to be an act of white supremacist domestic terrorism, and should be condemned in the strongest terms. It is a tragedy for the casualties, and we should keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

But I will tell you........any attempt to hold the President responsible for this heinous act will only add gasoline to the fire. I felt that his response yesterday was appropriate, and accurate. It is time to condemn hate groups on all sides of the political spectrum, and not embolden them any more with hate rhetoric. This includes provocative rhetoric from our media, and our politicians.

We have always had white hate groups, but until recently, they have been a marginal bunch of knuckle dragging, low lifes. But we are now seeing organized movements of young people joining the cause, to various degrees. And this is not only an American issue, we are seeing similar movements in Europe. I see this as a reaction to left wing policies that have allowed communities to be changed overnight by uncontrolled immigration.Until we adopt sensible immigration policies, and that laws are enforced, I only see this getting worse.

I don't think Trump is racist and I think his true feeling about white supremacist are a lot stronger than he lets on. This makes him another ******* politician with no integrity and anyone who thinks Trump isn't a politician is a ******* moron.

Props and kudos to you for making this statement. I'm sure every sane and reasonable American feels the same way.

On this we disagree. I'll let the mayor of Charlottesville explain:

"Look at the campaign he ran. Look at the intentional courting, both on the one hand all of these white supremacist, white nationalist groups like that, anti-Semitic groups, and then look on the other hand the repeated failure to step up and condemn, denounce, silence, put to bed, all of those different efforts just like we saw yesterday, and this is not hard," he continued.

“But to be honest, this is not about Donald Trump," Signer added. "I think this is about the United States of America, it’s about Virginia, it’s about Charlottesville.”

Signer's comments come after Trump condemned the violence Saturday in the small, college town, but pinned blame on "many sides."

Trump, who frequently blasted former President Obama for not saying "radical Islamic terrorism," did not say white supremacists in his statement.

Three people died in Charlottesville on Saturday and dozens of others were injured.

Charlottesville mayor: We're not seeing leadership from the White House
http://thehill.com/homenews/sunday-talk-shows/346378-charlottesville-mayor-were-not-seeing-leadership-from-the-white

The mayor of Charlottesville, Virginia blasted President Trump for refusing to specifically condemn white supremacy, accusing him of "intentionally courting" white supremacist and white nationalist groups during his presidential campaign and calling him out for not showing leadership in the wake of violence at a white supremacist rally.

More on Trump and the Far Right from Baratunde Thurston. Truer words never spoken.

He has condemned Snoop Dogg more than he's condemned the KKK. He's attacked Rosie O'Donnell more than he's attacked neo-Nazis. He's spent more time insulting the FBI, intelligence community, free press, federal courts, Congress, and his own personally-selected cabinet than he has on armed racist, secessionist, groups that clearly are emboldened by him.

The man who gave us "Little Marco" and "Crooked Hillary" and "Low Energy" Jeb, who opened his campaign with "Mexicans are rapists" can't even mention "white supremacists" by name. All the sudden the man who threatens WWIII, goes on 3am Twitter rants against cable news hosts, and hired a foul-mouthed nincompoop named "The MOOCH" has found diplomacy and rhetorical discretion with this group.

This is not an accident.

What a complete cluster this country has become. We are "concerned" about North Korea, but our own turf is a freakin' mess. It was a matter of time before the extreme groups reared their ugly heads. They have been simmering and lurking as the other groups have been spreading their message. It was due to come to a head. I think it's far from over. Everything has become way over-the-top and hateful. Trump is getting too much credit and grief for this past weekend. He hasn't said enough, waited too long to respond or has our best interest in keeping us safe and protected. What are the people doing to make it better? Violence, spewing hateful messages, gathering high tension marches, blaming everyone else, etc. This country is divided right down the middle. The far-left and far-right are lunatics. What used to be moderate conservatives and liberals are even skewed. Having a normal conversation is moot these days. We are the problem. We are taking sides, with little middle ground. It's the "us verses them" mentality that has this country bass ackwards. I despise politicians and we are fighting over these egotistical, rich agenda bending ***** that don't have our best interests at stake. How stupid is that? They are adding to the divide and we take the bait like sheep.
As far as the Confederate flag and statues that are causing high tensions in the south, it is a part of history of this nation. Does it represent an ugly past? Of course, but it tells a story that may should or shouldn't be erased. I'm a northern guy, through and through, so I haven't put a lot of time and effort to be offended either way. The people of Virginia have a greater say whether they want the reminders of their past visible. Like I said, as a nation, we are split down the middle and the other half will be offended. Some a lot more than others. I would like to say that I don't care either way. I try to disconnect from politics, but everywhere you look, it's there. Football, music, movies, etc. It's mind numbing and tiring.

Here are some of Tibs "peaceful" counter protestors blocking another groups permitted event.

White Supremacists Beat Black Man With Poles in Charlottesville, Va., Parking Garage

An unidentified group of white supremacists in Charlottesville, Va., attacked and beat a black man with poles in a parking garage.

The photo above, which was taken and posted to Twitter by Zach D. Roberts, a writer and photographer with Nation of Change, captures the violence that occurred during Saturday’s “Unite the Right” white supremacist rally.

As you will notice, there were no police around to help the man being attacked, and although the victim hasn’t been identified, the incident was one of many similar attacks on black people posted to social media.

Good to see. It's about damn time.

Prominent Republicans distance themselves from Trump's tepid response to Charlottesville violence

http://www.latimes.com/politics/was...epublicans-distance-1502589992-htmlstory.html

Republican elected officials, who increasingly have been putting distance between themselves and President Trump, jumped quickly away from him Saturday after his equivocating response to the violence in Charlottesville, Va.

Some, including Sen. Cory Gardner, who heads the Republican effort to elect senators in next year's midterm election, repudiated Trump directly, criticizing him for not condemning the white supremacist groups that marched in the Virginia college town Friday and Saturday.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Mr. President - we must call evil by its name. These were white supremacists and this was domestic terrorism. <a href="https://t.co/PaPNiPPAoW">https://t.co/PaPNiPPAoW</a></p>— Cory Gardner (@SenCoryGardner) <a href="https://twitter.com/SenCoryGardner/status/896472477844385792">August 12, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida also critiqued Trump for not directly labeling as a terrorist attack Saturday's assault by a car, in which at least one person was killed and roughly 20 injured.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Very important for the nation to hear <a href="https://twitter.com/POTUS">@potus</a> describe events in <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Charlottesville?src=hash">#Charlottesville</a> for what they are, a terror attack by <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/whitesupremacists?src=hash">#whitesupremacists</a></p>— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) <a href="https://twitter.com/marcorubio/status/896483980857532416">August 12, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Others did not mention Trump directly but did condemn the marchers, many of whom carried Nazi flags and similar regalia.

Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, the senior Republican in the Senate, remembered his brother, who died fighting in World War II.

Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada issued a statement in which "condemn[ed] the outrageous racism, hatred and violence. It's unacceptable & shameful. No room for it in this country."

Several Republican senators referred to the violence as a case of "domestic terrorism."

Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, who has been a favorite of Republican conservatives, issued a statement in which he called on the Justice Department to "immediately investigate and prosecute today's grotesque act of domestic terrorism."

Sens. Joni Ernst of Iowa and Rob Portman of Ohio made similar references.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The tragedy in Charlottesville this afternoon was domestic terrorism. We must all condemn hatred and white nationalism.</p>— Rob Portman (@senrobportman) <a href="https://twitter.com/senrobportman/status/896500463155150849">August 12, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

"White supremacy is a scourge," wrote House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.). "This hate and its terrorism must be confronted and defeated."

This is the first I have heard about this. Was working all day yesterday and we don't have TVs there. I think I want to crawl back into my little hole after seeing this.

do you have room for me in that hole? I need a rock to live under. It's all too much.

This is the flyer for the rally in Charlottesville. The one in which a woman was killed by a Trump supporter. The one which Trump himself would only condemn "all sides."

If you're Jewish and you still support Trump, it's time to realize that just because you see hate against Jews coming from one side, you're not safe just by joining the other.

Antisemitism is deeply rooted in the extreme right. The extreme right that now is mainstream and which the president won't condemn.

Take a close look. This is becoming more and more normal. It's time for us to unite against it.

And I believe you will find if you look that President Trump did denounce them at that time. That is if you care to look.
