Initial Thoughts on raven Game

It's a typical rat grinder win.

Jones pisses me off.

Washington your big *** needs to jump up for the ball in the endzone, or at least smash the other guy so he can't catch it.

I will give Baltimore one thing their defensive backs are physical and aggressive. You don't see them stand and wait to tackle they attack. Our recovers either because Wilson had no time or just can't get open. Would love to know what interference is in this league what they call and not. We were hit and miss on offense, on Wilson the interception. Defense I felt same way they played very good then next thing big play. Win is a win and love we beat Baltimore, fans were into the game love it. Enjoy the victory.

Kudos to Tomlin for being aggressive and closing the game out on offense the last two weeks. Thought for sure they were going to run Najee up the middle three times and punt it with 50 seconds left.

It took me till the fourth quarter to figure out the adjustments…

the grandkids had to be kicked out of the room because they were fighting …bad energy…PAPA STEVE just can’t be yelling at the grandkids and ARTHUR SMITH & RUSS at the exact same time…

Bagel The beagle had to be brought back in and was personally responsible for Peyton Wilson’s interception and Lamar Jackson’s failed two point conversion…

I've been vocally critical at times bitching. But the haters are down to let's see them do it in the playoffs. Yes. Agreed. But they are gonna play good teams in the playoffs and you can see what the margin is. This team is sitting amoung the elite. They are certainly top ten probably top five right now. Are you entertained?

The WRs better be working on scramble drills. Based on the announcer's comments, when Russ holds the ball and scrambles, the WRs don't do anything to get to an open area.
I was thinking those thoughts during the game, and concluded that WR coach Azzinani has some work to do with the group.

My take, Russ was looking for the big play way too much and took too many sacks. On the play before his INT, he has Najee alone in the middle of the field, he at least gets to the 1 making it much easier to score. Speaking of his INT, Washington had position, no need to lob that in there.

Jones catching a lot of hate, but his one holding call was absolutely BS. And he's still playing out of position...

The D needs to move Watt around more. He moved to the other side once this game, but that was it. Just making it easy to double and triple him.

Boz is the best kicker in the league. Love seeing Tucker struggle

"defense played one hell of a game".......until the final minutes of each half.

Disturbing trend of stopping the opposition the entire half until the waning minutes. Then they go right down the field and score. Fortunate B'more called a stinko of a play on the two point.

1. **** the Ratbirds
2. The Division is ours for the taking
3. If the Bills win, winning out means we get the 1 seed
4. Browns on a short week now... got to beat those ********
redzone offense is horrible. If they can't run it in, their pass game in close stinks. It's because nobody gets open.

The gameplan on offense was awful. They did little to challenge a struggling secondary.

If the defense didn't keep making plays, the steeler offense would have lost this game. They would have lost if Tucker only missed 1 FG instead of 2.

They have to get a better passing game involving the WRs downfield. They can beat bad teams like this, but I don't think they'll win multiple playoff games unless the offense ca be more to short throws and moon balls.

We havent run decent scrambles ever since Ray Sherman was wr coach... we just dont teach it anymore

Boswell might be the team MVP this year, though teams typically refuse to give it to their kicker.

The inability of the offense to do more against what has been a bad Ravens pass defense was discouraging. This seemed to be the first game since Russ took over where the lack of depth at WR hurt them.

There did not seem to be a lot of separation from the receivers and neither Jefferson nor Austin made plays when given chances. Mike Williams saw little action

Facing a team that is strong against the run and weak against the pass, the play calling in the redzone was perplexing to say the least.

With that said, being able to beat the top scoring team in the league without scoring a TD reflects a strong effort by the defense, though Watt still doesn't seem to be dominating games like we've come to expect over the years.

They're in great position to win the division and compete for the number one seed in the AFC, but it kind of feels like the lack of a legit WR2 might be their undoing at some point.
I'm unsure this team can even name an MVP. Obviously 90 and 14 are always in the conversation. But with this team every one has contributed something significant at one point or another.

I knew the offense was going to be crap when Tomlin implied the Ravens pass d was good, people just passed more than they ran on them...

The Ravens D let guys free over the middle all year long and didnt make plays on the ball if you threw at them...

We just play with too much caution vs these teams... you cant just run every first down in the red zone

I think someone needs to kidnap our number 2 and 3 wr so Mikey is forced to play Williams next week.

It's Cleveland's Super Bowl! Going to be a tough game on a short week! Could be blizzard conditions if this snow storm that's supposed to dump 2 feet all across the NorthEast hits.

Russ played his worst game yet, slow reads in the first half causing sacks and wasn’t trusting himself and letting it rip…got better in 2nd half other than the head scratcher pick in the EZ late

Najee looked like he avoided contact a few times going down quite easily, also had a couple solid runs but not up to the standard of the past few weeks. Gotta attribute some of that to the Rat run D

We need a receiver other than Pickens out there, we were a 1 receiver show today other than the blocking by Skowronek which was excellent. Did I mention Jefferson sucked and CA3 was pretty invisible. Mount Washington seemed like our 2nd best threat today?!?! And he blocked his *** off too unlike Muth who gets owned way too much in the run game. Skowronek and Heyward were much better blockers than Muth today…sad

The OL was pretty weak today with Jones being the standout again! He needs to learn to keep his hands inside. Coach him up Meyer! And Coach Muth while your at it.

The D played well holding the Rats to 16, many timely plays highlighted by Wilson’s pick. Shut their receivers down and held Lame-R in check.

Good to see Fields come in and save the game…CLOSER!!!! Might have used him in the RZ the way Russ was struggling. Could’ve used some TDs.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the MvP Boz!!! Dude has been having a helluva season.

It was the game I expected a tight chippy game vs a rival and a game that we came out victorious…as expected.

Solid win to keep the momentum going.

Hoping to see Williams more in the RZ moving forward and some of the Fields packages too.

Here we go Steelers!!!!
