John McCain Dead at 81

Remember the nasty things the dems were saying about McCain when he was running for president? Now they want to canonize him and are righteously indignant when anyone criticizes him.

Palin not invited to McCain's funeral: report

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...report/ar-BBMCEm8?li=BBnbfcL&ocid=HPCOMMDHP15

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has reportedly not been invited to attend funeral services for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), her one-time runningmate.

NBC News reported Wednesday that Palin had not been invited. A source within the Palin family told NBC News that "out of respect to Senator McCain and his family we have nothing to add at this point."

"The Palin family will always cherish their friendship with the McCains and hold those memories dear," the source added, according to NBC.

Palin ran as McCain's vice presidential nominee during his 2008 bid for the White House. McCain ultimately lost to then Democratic president-elect Barack Obama.

A private ceremony for McCain was held Wednesday inside the Arizona State Capitol rotunda. He will lie in state in Arizona for two days before being transported to the U.S. Capitol to lie in state there on Friday. McCain will have a funeral service in his home state on Thursday, where former Vice President Biden will speak.

On Saturday, former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush will eulogize McCain during a service at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

McCain will be buried in private at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., on Sunday.

McCain died on Saturday at age 81 following after battling an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Following McCain's death, Palin wrote in a tweet that McCain "was a maverick and a fighter."

"Today we lost an American original," she tweeted. "Sen. John McCain was a maverick and a fighter, never afraid to stand for his beliefs. John never took the easy path in life - and through sacrifice and suffering he inspired others to serve something greater than self."

I read about that yesterday, but it doesn't give any reasons why. Were they at odds at the end or after the Pres run? Of almost anyone, I would expect SP to be there.

My issue with McCain was his basically turning Dem at the end. He hated Trump and his O-Care vote was nothing more than a slap to the President. Folks seem to forget he was a notorious cheater back in the day and left his first wife who was permanently disabled in a car wreck for Cindy. Oh, and I'm hearing that his seat should go to his wife. We don't live in a monarchy, this isn't the McCain seat....it belongs to the people of Arizona.

He even got his marriage certificate for heiress Cindy a month before his divorce was finalized. Couldn't even wait for the ink to dry on it. Cold *******.

The next 48 hours is gonna leave a mark for Trump, as the nation bows its head to honor and show respect for the life and work of John McCain. Expect numerous, full meltdown tweets from orange jesus between now and Saturday evening. The petulant child simply can't stand it, to have this much attention paid to a man of far greater virtue and admiration than he could ever achieve. Ha ha, poor Donald, grab your pacifier and a box of tissues as you wail away in your self-pity. You couldn't hold McCain's jock strap, and you know it.

in the end Tibs, knowing DT, him being the POTUSA is his trump card(pun intended) to anything Senator John McCain. That should be his last laugh. He did what JM couldn't or didn't do. Normally, that shouldn't need to be said, but we'll see if your observation is correct or not. If he can't just chill from Twitter or the media until he is laid to rest, then it would be in poor taste.

LOL, Trump put's the P in poor taste. Not only has he been incoherently ranting as usual on twitter about the media and witch hunts, he's gonna go have yet another belligerent pom pom rally for his deep red base tonight. Trump is an ignorant ****, and he proves it day in and day out.

The country - and the world - will always respect what John McCain stood for. His honor, his bravery, his integrity and his belief in the fundamental virtues of America. Sadly, Trump will be remembered for trying to burn it all down.

This is what a true statesman sounds like. Someone with integrity and a moral backbone, who shows respect to his fellow Americans, particularly our war heroes and those of a different political persuasion. Joe Biden gave a thougthtful, moving eulogy to his friend John McCain. It's worth watching and listening to, for those of us who need a reminder of what makes this country great.

“‘We hold these truths self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed by their creator, with certain unalienable rights.’ To John, those words had meaning,” Biden says, quoting the Declaration of Independence at the memorial service for Sen. Larry Fitzgerald also gave a moving speech, explaining the type of impact McCain had on him and people around the country.

Larry Fitzgerald on John McCain: "His fight legendary, but what made Senator McCain so special was that he cared about the substance of my heart, more so than where I came from." https://t.co/yslvNFA49O pic.twitter.com/u5bDn4Jlme
— CBS News (@CBSNews) August 30, 2018

I said earlier in the Winning thread that Tibs would get triggered. Here he is, right on cue and unhinged.
The only person here who's triggered and unhinged is your sorry ***. Standing firmly and proudly on the wrong side of history alongside your personal saviour, the ever belligerent, forever-loser Donald Trump. You don't have to prove over and over that you hate this country and what it stands for. That's blatantly obvious to anyone who reads your pathetic, asinine posts on this board.

Tibs one question how do you have integrity when you leave your small children and wheel chair bound wife to go **** a rich beauty queen ? Then divorce her and marry your mistress. Asking for a friend.

Ha ha, ROFL! Great stuff Tibs, keep it up. I can see the smoke coming out of ears, you’re so pissed and off the deep end.
Wrong, as you always are. I'm not pissed at all. If anything I feel sorry for the miserable, degenerate state of mind you and Trump are in as McCain is laid to rest, with full State and Military honors. The country will always rally around its war heroes and statesmen, and turn against the criminal, petty, lost souls in way over their heads, gasping for their last breath. Pull up a chair close to the tv in your jammies tonight as Trump the mob boss speaks to his herd. Try not to drool too much, maybe wear a bib or something.

Tibs, you hated McCain's guts in the summer of 2008.

So now he's dead and no longer a "threat," and he is the scion of virtue? Trying to keep this stuff straight.

The same wife who waited for him after years in a P.O.W. camp...who had the nerve to gain weight after her auto accident. Left for a rich beauty queen, but he's "honorable"
