Kicker Josh Scobee traded to STEELERS!

I feel better with him kicking than I did with Hartley.

just like I perdicted!

ha ha

Well I guess that pretty much confirms Hartley to the IR.

There is no way we gave up anything more than a 7th rounder, right?

We finally get to experience what it's like to have a kicker that can actually kick touchbacks consistently.

Scoobedoooo!

Scobee is already en route to the Steelers.

Glancing over NFL.com stats... we should expect to see more TB on kickoffs by Scobee(58pct.) compared to Suisham(31pct) the last two seasons. The issue is Suisham has been 90pct accuracy on field goals made during his time with the Steelers except one year. Last season wasn't one of Scobees better seasons 76pct FGM.

So what's the cap hit? How much cap space do we have left?

I would hope not since there were plenty of kickers on the waver wire that would've become available to us over the next week.

I'm hearing a 4th. I'm wrong this maybe inaccurate

Two kickers still on roster? Jaguars could be inviting trade

Josh Scobee has been the kicker in Jacksonville for more than a decade and has made both of his field goal attempts this summer while also reaching the end zone on all five of his kickoffs.

Which team would want Scobee? A team like Pittsburgh

-----------

They called it

Except that Scobee is a significantly better option than they would be... this is a longtime starter with a big enough leg who lost his job to a kid with a huge leg. this isnt a average guy here. this is maybe an upgrade on sushi... he is definately a better kicker from 39 yards in...

but ajx line wasnt exactly keeping the pressure off either. they lead the league with 3 blocked field goals

Jags fans...ha ha

NOOOOO!

This is a terrible move.

Myers is 24-38 in his college career with career long of 49. Was he really that good in preseason?

If we have a game on the line down by 2 with 3 seconds on the clock, why in the world wouldn't we want a veteran kicker to go win the game for us??

Bad bad move. This sucks

Hope it wasn't for a 6th or a 7th. Steelers get a fantastic kicker

the nfl is paying jags off to be a loseing team so they can move them to london. why else would you get rid of one of your best players on the team for the last serveal years.

If they gave a fourth, which I don't think they have because aren't they already on the hook for a fourth for Boykin, they are absolutely nuts there. They could have put in anyone until next week and picked up Scobee for free. I don't mind a conditional seventh or something, but if it is really a fourth, who the f'k is running this show. That cannot be accurate.

Can't be a fourth because it's tied up with Boykin if he reaches a certain percentage of snaps this season.

$3.425 mill cap hit...

Yes I was wrong saw it somewhere else then realized it couldn't be correct

Well that gets us a serviceable kicker.

Past 3 years:

Scobee: Inside 50: 60-66, 90.9 %. 50+ 8-13, 61.5%

Sushi: Inside 50: 85-89, 95.5%, 50+ 2-6, 33.3%

I agree. They only gave up a fifth/ fourth for a guy who may well start at CB. Can't see it. But even if the over 3 million cap hit is correct, I just don't get these guys. You could get a third starting ready DE for that price. Good God.
