Law Enforcement official sent Video to NFL in April

I honestly would hate to see Rog go. Just for the fact that the next person will be 100 times worse at destroying the game.

Is that even possible. If that does happen you can stick a form in the nfl

It won't matter because if the next person is ANY worse than Goodell, let alone 100 times, I'm completely done with the NFL anyway. Hanging on by a thread as it is. I'm just happy to see that smug ******* under the gun and getting mountains of **** heaped on him.

It is now time for Roger to get on with his life's work.

This is what happens when you operate based on a fluid set of "morals" that are determined solely by public opinion and perceived risk of same.

Although I was frustrated by the Clowns comeback, I have to look at this 1st week of football differently.

Steelers Won!
Clowns Lost!
Ratbirds Lost!
Cheatriots Lost!
Cryboys Lost!

And now the commish is in hot water - best first week of the season in recent memory!

This dude's first ever post. Off to a good start! I feel better just reading this. :-)

KDKA reporting Rooney and Mara are heading up a task force to investigate the ray rice situation.. Did not get all the info but I will keep an eye out for official info

Here is the official link

So, Roger hires an "independent" investigator to investigate whether he investigated properly. This investigator and his investigation will be overseen by our own Rooney and NYG Mara; two owners who were solidly in Goodell's camp when owners were seeking a new commissioner.
would have seemed a little more impartial if they would have at least had the decency to have an "independent" overseer also.
Smacks of a stall tactic whereby they are hoping the whole thing will die down before the investigator provides a report saying there were things Rog could have done better, but overall it was a competent job. Thereby saving face for Goodell and keeping the owners from having to fire his ***.

Not sure if we can assume that the Rooney's are still in his court too many things have happened ... to name a few ...

1. Steelers/Green Bay Superbowl FIASCO -- where Steelers Season ticket holders did not get seats ..
2. All the fines levied on our players after they did not sign the CB agreement ..
3. ALL The INCONSISTENCIES in levying punishments -- most of which are not even close to what the Steeler Players got ..

wow the NFL isn't really good at covering/ignoring video tapes. They're 1 for 2 in sweeping law breaking scandals(***pats) on video under the rug.

This POS needs to go.

Precedent has been set by his handling of the Pat* tapes.

If this league and it's owners have any integrity what so ever Roger should be terminated immediately.

Ben was found guilty without any charges so the same should go for das Fuhrer.

James Harrison taunting Roger Goodell

PITTSBURGH -- Former Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison, who was fined heavily by Roger Goodell during his playing days, is firing back at the embattled NFL commissioner.

Steelers players were the only ones who didn't collectively vote in favor of the collective bargaining agreement that was approved in 2011 because of their unhappiness with Goodell -- and what they saw as his heavy-handed ways in meting out discipline.

The player-safety initiative that Goodell enacted in 2010 put him on a collision course with Harrison, one of the most feared players in the NFL. Harrison was fined a total of $120,000 for helmet-to-helmet hits or unnecessary roughness that season.

Goodell suspended the five-time Pro Bowler for a game late in the 2011 season after a helmet-to-helmet hit on Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy. Harrison became the first player to miss a game because of repeated violations of the rule that prohibits above-the-shoulder hits on a player deemed defenseless.

Harrison had blasted Goodell in a 2011 Men's Journal story, calling him a "devil," among other things. He later apologized for his remarks.

With Goodell receiving intense criticism for not taking a harder stance against Rice after the former Baltimore Ravens running back assaulted his now-wife in an Atlantic City, New Jersey, hotel elevator, Harrison has been taunting Goodell via Twitter.

James Harrison@jharrison9292 ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun huh?

@nflcommish remains adamant he won't resign, source says:"Never."
Yea that's what Nixon but then again the CBA gave you more power than him!
This is just one more example of why the Steelers didn't vote to approve the CBA!!!

Listening to Mike and Mike this morning a lot of people are saying that RG is not lying .. take it from me -- Someone who knows that he will LIE .. as all of you know I was a victim of having my seat condemned at the Superbowl in Dallas -- Let me tell you ALL THE REPORTS OF HOW GOOD THEY TREATED US WERE FALSE !!! We were not treated fairly - we were ushered around the stadium like cattle - WE did not get gift bags as we left the stadium -- we were ushered to a room UNDER the stadium that had NO FOOD, DRINKS, or places to sit. It had one SMALL TV on the wall and a view of the field which consisted of the FEET OF THE PLAYERS .. .

This is just a small lie compared to today's NFL issues, but let me tell you as the person that endured this I have NO doubt that He will LIE whenever he can ..

As much as I hope I'm wrong, Roger will come out clean in all of this. My beggest disappointment is now the Rooney and Mara names are going to be tainted. The investigation is a sham. The special investigator appointed to the investigation has close ties to the NFL and several former NFL execs went to work for the same firm emplyed by the former Director of the FBI.

I seldom do, but I agree with NOW. This is window dressing. It's a sham and people know it's a sham. Rooney and Mara are just going to be seen as covering for the NFL after the report comes back and says the secretarty never forwarded the video.
