Legislation that grass roots conservatives need to start pushing for.

More liberal-minded folks began grass-roots efforts over a decade ago to get laws making pot use legal in the country. It has been a long, arduous fight, but some 10 or so years later, we now have a number of states that not only allow medicinal pot use (with extraordinarily sketchy medical definitions of 'medicinal') but that allow full recreational access to pot.

This is a testament to how legislation that is pretty much impossible at the outset, can, over time become sensible law.

Conservatives need to begin pushing for legislation that exempts people who home-shool from having their property taxes or income taxes used for public school education. There is no logical reason whatsoever that a household that doesn't use or benefit from public education should be required to pay money in to the government to support an institution that in no way serves them.

This will be wildly unpopular at the outset among legislators. It would mean collecting less tax revenue, or at the very least having fewer options of how they can funnel tax revenue and as you can imagine the one thing all politicians can agree on is that they want more money.

Yet, if people are persistent and continue to demand reasonable reform, in time... (Literally like 15 or 20 years) such legislation, like pot legality, can become common sense law.

I'm with you but its a whole lot easier when you are on the left side of the aisle.....They don't even need a majority to get things done these days....
