Let the Mocks begin.......

That was madinsomniac who mocked Sauls.
Yes. Sauls wont likely be there in the seventh, but if he was taking a flyer on him with a late seventh isnt a bad Idea...

I love Bos, but he is in his mid thirties now. He will be 34 this season. Most great kickers see a downturn at 34 or 35... even the ones that last till 40, that is usually on short kick accuracy... they start losing leg strength n their mid 30's...

The Ravens are going to replace tucker this off season... he is going to be 36 this year. He, Like bos this year, also made the pro Bowl at 33... but his 34 season ended with his accuracy on long field goals dipping... last season was worse... he was 11-19 over 40 yards and Harbaugh was passing up chances later in the season... tge Ravebs held on to Stover till he was 41, but after his early 30's the guy wasnt very accurate from deep... after 32 he only would make 4 more 50+ field goals his final 9 seasons his total accuracy over 40 yards fell to around 63%...

Again looking at a bunch of Kickers, its best to have an option ready in case Bos does start showing signs of hitting a cliff... this was the Dan Rooney way... get a young guy and if he was capable of taking over, move on (even if it was a year too early or so) from the old, cap expensive guy.

Like I said, the Ravens will be on the market... taking Sauls if he is lingering keeps him away from them and even if you think Bos is still who you want kicking, if sauls looks good you can trade Sauls to someone for a conditional seventh and keep the guy with a big leg and Acrisure experience away from those dumbasses.

Seventh rounders have an extremely low hit rate and are almost always used on special team coverage type guys anyway... and we have like 3 this year... a low cost gamble on a position that isnt a pressing need yet but could be quite quickly in the coming couple seasons isnt the worse plan... assuming there isnt a actual home run type pick that has fallen because of injury there...

I dunno Dart looks interesting. I have a good feel about him. I think he is going to be a good pure passer. I do like Howard too and Leonard in a lesser capacity.
I've seen quite a bit of Jaxson Dart. Talk about up and down...wow. He's better than Kenny though...

Second and final attempt for today (with some analysis)...

  • 21 Kenneth Grant, DL | Michigan A - The Eagles have two monsters in the middle and they don't have to blitz to get to QBs. Add this kid w/ Benton and we may be on to something.

  • 52 Jalen Milroe, QB | Alabama A - Homer or not we NEED a younger QB. Jalen throws a beautiful deep ball as well as mid-range. He can be coached to fix his velocity on the short passes. Young Milroe is the consummate teammate - think Jalen Hurts, but faster when he gets loose. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

  • 83 Savion Williams, WR | TCU A+ - If Williams falls this far someone from our team better be running to the podium with their hair on fire. Big, fast and has a huge catch radius. Savion can also play in the wildcat - so you know he has the shiftiness that coaches drool over.

  • 122 Tai Felton, WR | Maryland B+ - I want "go to WRs". Period the end. Who knows if George is coming back, but if he does, we can add another super talented WR with size and speed. The WR room could be top 3 adding these two prospects.

  • 163 Smael Mondon Jr., LB | Georgia A - This is easy. Patrick Queen 2.0. Just let the kid learn from those in front of him - Queen, Holcomb, Wilson and Roberts. His time will come...

  • 225 Connor Colby IOL | Iowa A - Seumalo and Daniels are getting up in age. McCormick play above the line, when called on last season and I see a lot of his game in Connor's.
  • 231 Jordan James, RB | Oregon B+ - I hate that we're giving up on Najee. Everyone knows that. Double J isn't Najee, but he's a big power back with good vision and agility. Not a bad pick considering where this is in the draft.

  • 247 Tyler Batty, EDGE | BYU A+ - High motor player that can play OLB but I'd put him at DE in the NFL. He can defend the run and drop back in passing lanes. Definitely sleeper material.

Milroe had a bad senior bowl week. I know you seen more of him than most of us but that does concern me.

Sadly I think he needs someone like the rats OC to develop his skill set. Not sure the Steelers are capable…

My first post Super Bowl mock. TRADE DOWN! is the theme of this one. I only use one of my original picks here. I beef up both lines and add skill players in key positions. The one thing, I missed on a TE in the middle rounds, so that's the only thing I'm lacking here.

51. Wyatt Milum OG West Virginia
69. Savion Williams WR TCU
75. Kaleb Johnson RB Iowa
89. Omarr Norman-Lott DT Tennessee
90. Azareye'h Thomas CB Florida State
122. Anthony Belton OT NC State
123. Ollie Gordon II RB Oklahoma State
124. Jamaree Caldwell DT Oregon
127. Antwane Wells Jr. WR Ole Miss
159. Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin
200. Joshua Farmer DT Florida State
2026 SF 2nd
2026 LAC 4th

If it is the same guy I am thinking about will have to check Wyatt struggled in the senior bowl. (Don’t lock me into it yet)😅

Like the idea of trading down this team has a lot of needs…

I put more stock in their collegiate career than a week or two for one game with random other prospects.

For reference, both Bo Nix and Peyton Wilson struggled last year in the senior bowl. I'm sure I can go back in more detail and find more of good and bad that didn't tell the whole story or how the prospect turned out.

Good point.👏

Was able to drop back one spot and get an extra 3rd round pick. The best DT in the draft fell to us and is our biggest need so I ran to the podium. Got a good WR in the 2nd round. With the 2 3rd round picks, I doubled-dipped at DT and grabbed a good S to help our secondary. Tuten at RB has Fast Willie type speed (we'll see how he does at the combine, though). I would love to have that in our backfield again. The rest of the picks are depth pieces. Hopefully, I snagged a sleeper or two.

The only knock against Graham is he is only 6'-3" but he is still a 3-down anchor piece for the D-line. Looking back at Lott, I probably would have gone to another DT with more height. I originally saw him listed around 6'-6" but have now seen his height at 6'-3" and even 6'-1". The combine will tell the truth for him.

Think I got to fill needs with the top 4 picks and then added depth at OL, DL, S, WR. Wish I could've gotten a higher WR but the draft didn't fall that way

Bingo. This is exactly why I want Jalen mildly Milroe...

No way it goes down like this.

wasn't gong to draft 4 DTs but did.
wasn't gong to draft a QB but did
drafted a MD guy just because. think that went away a few years ago

Milroe has tiny hands like Kenny Pickett. Hard pass.

I think Milroe is very overrated and saying he would be coached up on the steelers is very wishful thinking. He did not have a great year last year. He had 16 TDs and 11 Ints which is concerning. He has a good arm and is fast, but he is not the biggest guy. For perspective if you look at Hurts final year in college he had 32TDs and 8 Ints and was rated almost 50 points higher.

When was the last time a Super Bowl winning quarterback was drafted the same calendar year a quarterback with the same first name, who played for the same college won a Super Bowl? Say no to Milroe:LOL:

This mock took an early turn when Emmanwori was there in the 1st. A big, very fast, athletic, smart S was sitting there. This dude can man the secondary for a decade. I was able to still double-dip at DT. Collins won't be there that late but he was so I did. I also double-dipped WR as that top need got pushed down a bit. Hopefully, we pick up someone in free agency. I snagged the fast RB who can take it to the house on any give carry and added depth with the later picks. This draft could definitely grow on me.
