Seemed to me that the gaping holes for Foster to run through stopped when he came in. Anyone pay special attention to him? Seen him drive the center into the qb .

I think he's raw but another year of practice and the weight room and he could be awesome next season.

He will never be a true NT because of his height and inability to get leverage but he would be a monster DT in a 4-3.

If nothing else he takes up space and he's hard to move. It beats a traffic cone in the middle of the defense.

Love the player , he is a huge upgrade over Thomas and McClendon, would just love to see him anchor a 4-3.

I have hope for the kid but its probably only false hope. Its only a matter of time till Tomlin decides to "sneak" him onto the practice squad and someone picks him up on waivers. Because, you know, we have to have 15 safetys on the roster for special teams . . .

I thought the kid did OK. First real time in the big's, came away not disappointing.

Salute the nation

Let's flashback to the '85 Bears and use him as a running back in goal line situations, lol. Here would make a good Fridge 2.0

Hellz yeah! 1st and goal from the 2? Bring in the big fella, I bet he would love to get a TD. And would a safety or LB even try to stop him?

They let Casey Hampton try that a few years ago in training camp and it was a miserable failure.

I was wondering who #62 was....dude is a freakin mammoth....Texans were getting a good push but once he came and after a few plays they had no choice to double...freed the LBers and they started to make plays. This defense lacks a NT and a good CB. His presence just brought a different attitude.....can you imagine being a Linemen and see that mountain of a man? I'd **** my pants.

He definitely made a positive impact...he needs to start playing.

Dude, you're way off.

I watched him every play he was in.

1) He was never moved, even by double teams.

2) He shed cut blocks to stay in plays. This was the big question, could he stay vertical. For the most part he did.

3) No running play went through his gap. They ran stretch off tackle, but when McCullers came in and tied up blockers, our LBs got to the edge quicker.

Cam Thomas was routinely blown of the ball. McCullers wasn't, not a single time.

Excited about this Kid, he's going to be a beast, just needs to keep getting reps and continue to develop. Needs a little work on improving his awareness for the location of the ball carrier at times but that will come in time. Pull Thomas and get him in the rotation with McClendon.

We shall see, he is better than Thomas but his size will be used against him as teams start game planning for him. Never has been a nose tackle 6'7" and teams will start cut blocking him.

Where he excelled in college was the 3/4 packages playing NT, which is likely why the 4/3 teams took a pass allowing him to slip to us. Think his team ran some sort of 3/4, 4/3 hybrid.

I like the guy but I worry about his stamina. Team will start cut blocking him and forcing him to get off the ground several times a game. It's very difficult for someone that big to play many snaps in a row. Teams like the pats* will run a hurry up and keep him on the field. Right now there is no reason not to play him. Thomas isn't that good at NT anyway.

Hell if he can only play 40% of the snaps, that's 40% of the snaps Thomas isn't in there

Albert Haynesworth would like a word with you.

For this year, you have to pick your spots with him. I'd like to see him on passing downs. A lot of Centers are smaller guys with shorter arms. McCullers can just shove them back, which he seems to do easily.

Nothing freaks a QB more than pressure up the middle. They aren't used to seeing it and it forces them to take their eyes off the WRs. QBs can sense outside pressure, step up and keep their eyes downfield, but if they see that inside pressure, they have to move and watch where they go.

Right now, he's like the defensive Martivis Bryant. He doesn't know what he's doing but he's really good at one thing and you can use that in the right spots.

He might also be a force with blocking throws and sight lines as long as he stays on his feet. Hopefully the kid can learn the game well and become a force to bother the other teams.

IF he can be conditioned enough to take snap counts away from "Fat Cam" I'm all for it BUT let's be real...he played 9 defensive snaps...not exactly a body of work.

I liked what I saw with him, I just hope he has earned a spot for the rest of the season. Let's give this kids some time and move away from Thomas/McClendon.

He looked good when he was in there, but his snaps were pretty limited. I think Steelers Depot reported that he was on the field for 9 snaps. His role will remain pretty limited for awhile...he doesn't know what he's doing really (scheme-wise) but he did a good job of occupying blockers. He will get exposed if he plays too many snaps. McClendon was playing well prior to his injury, he doesn't need to be replaced.

Play him in the Indy game. If he can shove centers into the QB that might be one answer to the Luck question Sunday.
