Quick question. What if Adams looks good again, this time aginst Indy? Do we then give him a shot at LT? He certainly loked solid at RT against JJ Watt? Beachum is clearly a stopgap guy.

Only if we want to see how good Gradkowski or Landry Jones is.

Joe

I never want to see Adams at LT again. Never. But, it's not like Beachum has been good there this year. Steelers need to look to solidify that position in the offseason.

No. Max Starks hasn't played in a year and would still be better.
Let him walk when his contract runs out. Hopefully soon.

Ideally I would sign Michael Roos in the offseason to play LT. We can resign Adams to be the swing tackle and keep Beachum as a swing guard.

I really want to cut Troy, Cam Thomas, extend Heyward and Ben, and then use the cap money to sign Roos and make a big rin at Houston...the OLB from KC.

“There are two schools of thought to protect a quarterback … You can get linemen or you can get him weapons – people that people have to account for."

Roos is out for the rest of the season w a knee sooo we will see how highly regarded he is w Munch as a FA after the season.

What I am MOST concerned w right now is...what is our back-up plan this week IF Gilbert isn't ready?

Hopefully, we won't have Pouncey as our #2 T but who will it be?

One of the dumbest stAtements to ever come out of head coaches mouth

Adams didn't do great at all vs Watt.......Adams had help most of the night and when he didn't it was a train wreck. Im not saying Adams didn't play better than he has in the past but please lets not try and push him to be a LT. He is a fill gap backup lineman at best and always will be IMHO.

As much as Adams sucks, it is a verifiable fact that he did not give up any sacks. So, where is the train wreck you speak of? As far as Adams at LT, I agree ... NO!

I find it difficult to comprehend that the depth chart still shows Adams as our LONE T back-up (actually it shows the departed Wes Johnson as our second) and NOBODY is talking about it.

Who jumps in IF Adams fails or somebody goes down at T?

Wallance then moves to Center and Pouncey moved to LT.

If that were to happen, I'd hope that they reconsider their thoughts about Pouncey to T. Put Foster at RT and Wallace in Foster's LG spot. Scary thought is if Beachum goes down and you have to move Adams to LT out of necessity.

Ask Dre Archer to play LT. Hell, he doesn't do anything else. I still cannot believe we wasted a 3rd on this guy. I'd love to know who pulled the trigger on that one and the Landry Jones pick. ******* priceless.

I have to second the point about Adams not doing bad as a right tackle. The performance actually improved after he went in for Gilbert. Last year he did not look good after the stabbing incident I suspect it might have been more of a problem than we actually thought here on the board. Generally folks do not complain about DeCastro on the board with regard to his play along the line but he was beaten soundly by Watt on more than one occasion. Watt is just that good. He may or may not be left tackle material, he did play left tackle in college and was considered by most of the draft boards a first round talent. If Munch is able to turn him into a better left tackle than Beechum that would be great. I think it is possible for these guys to develop and become better with better coaching, we may have good o-line coaching now, the last few seasons I think not so much.

Now that right there is some funny stuff.

I bet they sit Gilbert and let Adams play this one. Gotta watch those damn Adams false starts and holding penalties. He should be able to hold down the fort on the right side better than the left.

I do not recall any penalties on Adams last game. The big false start "Adams" was Flozell.

Cut Troy, let Foster walk, move Beachum to LG, draft a LT, sign Roose to a 2 year deal, LET WORLIDS GO OFFER JUSTIN HOUSTON THE SAME CONTRACT WE GAVE WOODLEY.

GO AFTER A TIER 1 CB, DRAFT 2 CB'S

Thats more or less my offseason plan. No way can we re-sign Worlids or draft a new OLB who can't start in yr 1. We would need to sign a FA OLB. Lets see how Adams does this weekend though.

Adams had a false start on our 4 yard line (half the distance) just 2 plays before DHBs catch bailed us out.

The Antonio brown pass to Moore was very lucky. JJ beat adams like a rug.. and nearly got to brown

I'm starting to wonder if anybody really watches the games outside of watching where the ball goes. Adams was beaten like a drum by Watt on that play. He was also given a ton of help. Did nobody else notice everything started going left after Gilbert went out? Also Adams did have one false start penalty. Almost all the rushing yards were over the left side. Adams didn't give up a sack but that isn't because of his great play. It's because the offense changed and protected him. Let's see if the coaches put him one on one vs. the Colts or if they put a TE over him or a RB to help chip his man.

Yep, Watt beat Adams like a rag doll. Faked outside, came inside and left Adams off balance and chasing him. Nice swim move by Watt. You can also see Bell there to help Adams.
