Think about this one for a moment.

Did better than start every game, has a couple of ZEROs to mention……………..

JAMES DANIALS

Didn’t just start every game but also played EVERY offensive snap. That’s right, never missed a snap.

ALSO allowed zero sacks / QB hits.

How many here knew these two facts and never mentioned them ?

DK Daily Shot had a great bit on this very topic, obviously he does it better than me.

Danials has the making of Pro Bowl, yes that’s right, a STEELERS player on the OL Pro Bowl team.

Any other suggestions on most under appreciated player on this team?

For me it is Levi Wallace. He isn't an all pro but he is a solid number 2. You will hear more about Pat Pete and Peezy Jr. But Wallace has been a solid cornerback for us and the Bills.

Chuck’s Oakorafor

ONLY missed 1 offensive snap, just for the record. He is definitely looked upon as the weakest OL link, but his tough-ness seems in tact.

I don’t know how to come up with a criteria, other than general opinion on this topic of under-appreciation mode.

Christian Kuntz

Definately a strong candidate, but when BUSH was still here, Kunitz was mentioned pretty regularly. Also Kuntz plays very few snaps in the grand scheme of things. His snaps are very important and very noticeable when done improperly.

TJ Watt.

Yes, he gets tremendous recognition but not enough. Dude could have won 3 straight DPOY awards, should have won two in a row, led NFL in sacks consecutive seasons, tied NFL record (actually beat it except for bullshit decision in Ravens game) for sacks in a season, and the defense was not remotely as good without him last year.

He is a classic case of a player who is so good that he is taken for granted.

DJ. I know I push trading him all the time… but he is maybe the best route runner in the league and he drives opposing defenses crazy cause he always gets open… sure he drops a few and he somehow managed to not catch a td last year… but the law of averages probably kicks in and we see him hit double digits in tds this season… he is way better than we steelers fans give him credit for

Isaiahh Loudermilk, when Stryker gives him his due as the best player that the Steelers moved up in the fifth round to get, I'll remove him from this list.

I actually think he is pretty good. I defended his drops and how much he has worked on and cleaned that aspect up.

You’re right though on the little respect part and truly right on getting open best in the league part as well.

Cope has been promising since he was still known as Cope………… Stryker has been carrying the tradition as well::::::::::

I have no where near the football knowledge to evaluate but I've heard that a problem with Chuks is he doesn't apply himself every play. He's still a solid player but has all the tools to be a top tier RT. Maybe with all the competition the Steelers have on the OL now that will change.

Moore. Thrown in same as Green is at least a serviceable starter. Ive seen him hold own v. Garrett. Will buy time for Jones and maybe move right and become long term Tackle.

They paid Chuks to be a low end LT and instead he is playing RT at a mediocre level but top 12 in salary for the position ( last year he was top ten iirc)
He isn’t underrated as much as overpaid for his production thus far

Man there quite a few you could say most under appreciated and y’all mentioned some good ones.
I’m going with the Wizard of Boz! He’s always clutch when we need him and wouldn’t want anyone else. Go Boz!
