Honestly, this is the least interested I can remember being when it comes to free agency and the draft.
I've seen virtually no Steelers related podcasts or articles over the past month, and I'm usually all over that **** this time of year when it comes to seeing how the team could be constructed for the upcoming season.
I've been leaning that way for awhile, but I think this past season, with no major changes being made to the coaching staff afterwards, finally broke me.
It's hard to care much knowing a firm ceiling has been established over the past 15 years in terms of what the Steelers can accomplish with Tomlin as coach, with the ownership being at best too conservative, or at worst, too arrogant and cheap, to make a change.
Rooney will definitely not be making a move before 2028, regardless of how the next few years go.
The guy is regularly criticized for what he spends on the team facilities. Does anyone really expect him to pay Tomlin $16 mil/year to work in TV or coach another team?
One may as well just re-watch games from the last several seasons at this point. It's all the same **** we'll be seeing next season or the season after that.
