NHL 2017-2018 season(other teams)

One penalty all Saturday night. Game before, quite a few penalties.

Other games had terrible officiating. Never know what to expect.
 
I'm rooting for MAF, but it's total bullshit that it was set up so that an expansion team could win the Stanley Cup in it's first year, while a great hockey city like Toronto hasn't won since the Original 6 era, and St. Louis and Minnesota have been waiting forever as well. I have no problem with it being set up in a way where the new teams aren't a total shitshow like the Browns, but winning the cup in their first year is too much.

Same here I am hoping Vegas wins it so MAF will end up being a Vegas legend, which he already pretty much is, but they shouldn't have loosened the number of protected players up so Vegas could pick top line players from teams that are loaded like the Pens, Predators Caps etc. That did play a part but you have to admit the Nights management did one hell of a job scouting and planning all the moves. And some of the guys just flat out preformed this year when they were average or slumping at best on the other teams. Evidently the coaching is top notch too.

Wont see this happen next time around....No way.
 
Yeah they keep talking about how Vegas is an expansion team and what not. while it is true they are an expansion team they are pretty stacked and had a choice of a lot of great players.
As for clubs that have not won a cup for a long time. I place that blame on those clubs. they have had a lot of years to draft / trade players. they should have been able to build a great roster by now

They did a great job building their team, but this nailed it. The top of their roster had career years. Of the top five scorers, Vegas had some huge production numbers that weren't there before. Karlsson had 18 career goals before notching 43 this season. Marchessault beat his career high in points by 24. Perron had a career high 66 points and Smith did the same with 60. Haula had a career high in goals and assists. That's just their top five point producers, not to mention Fleury also had a career year.
 
And something else, unless TB closes this series tomorrow, Vegas will be well rested again. They had 8 days before the 2nd round, 5 before the 3rd and could end up with 4-5 days before the final. That **** helps.
 
Congregates to the Flower, he is a HOFer all the way and has to be the MVP of the playoffs.. You have to pull for Vegas, Plus Reaves whom I hated to see us trade with the game winner today. This team is hungry reminds me of the Pens two years ago. Strong play and aggressive.
 
maybe some guys on vegas had career years because they finally got their shot instead of being stashed on 3rd lines (just guessing did not do any research). Fleury may have had a career year due to better defense in front of him. Plus sometimes a fresh start gives guys career a boost
 
Feeling like Caps win tonight and force a game 7. Another close 3-2 game I think. Whats left of these two teams then gets obliterated by a rested Nights team like Sarge was saying.
 
Some of these players for TB frustrate me more than a few of the Pens by not taking a shot and trying to make the perfect pass. They just gave the Caps about 10 opportunities to score off bad passes, being too cute with the puck etc.

Bolts missed a great chance to score because of that "fight"

I saw that. It's a start. :)

He freight trained the hell out of one of the Bolts about 2-3 seconds after he passed the puck. Should have been either boarding or roughing but obviously no call.
