NHL 2017-2018 season(other teams)

Let's hope the craps don't put the final nail in the coffin tonight. I'm just not ready to see Wilson and Oshite raise the cup.

If Vegas had any answer for the craps we would have seen it. They've been taken to the woodshed. It really hasn't been close. I'd say for them to win the next 3 games would be the most improbable outcome I can imagine.

After seeing Vegas destroy their opponents I thought for sure they would wipe the Caps off the ice. I guess their competition wasn't all that great or their players are melting in the spotlight. Really disappointed in MAF. I thought maybe he had a total rebirth to his career but looks like the same goalie we felt comfortable with assigning to a backup role.

That said, the odds are definitely not in their favor but I'm not giving up hope. You never know what will happen. If Vegas can somehow get a few pucks to bounce their way and quit clanging off the pipes, they still have a chance. If they win tonight, I can potentially see the Caps get tight and screw up at home, then Game 7 is anybody's guess. Hope they shoot the puck like there is no tomorrow (which is true) and preferably high glove side :)

Vegas played inspired in the PO and MAF rose to the occasion when he needed to at times, but I don't think he was as great as the savior he was deemed. The team in front of him was firing on all cylinders. I think we are seeing the real MAF, with a team that knows him and is the final roadblock to complete their revenge tour. MAF has always been hot and cold. When he is on, he is fabulous, but he can look mediocre quickly. I'm not hating on the guy because I was sad to see him leave. Just reality of his play. WASH has just been better in every series. It's their time. I can't stand them, but they are making Vegas look very average.

I can't blame Flower at all, that's just sour grapes.

He isn't giving up softies, they are hitting good shots with good passes to open players around the net

What Spike said. And they have had a ton of players open in front of the net.

Not hating on the guy and I wish he was still in a Pens uniform but at times several of the Caps goals seemed like they were pretty average to me while he was standing on his head blocking shots in the previous playoff game. Holtby has been better between the pipes in this series in my opinion.

The lack of offense from the first 2 Vegas lines is the killer here. They have been pulling defense into the rush and zone to compensate. This is allowing the craps to get to the sweet spots around the net and pick off the rebounds. The lack of offense has slowed the Vegas shot blocking and MAF is doing about as well as can be considering. Most of the goal seem to be 2nd and 3rd opportunities.

The strength for Vegas all year was the ability to cycle and get back to protect. When you pull the D into the zone it's takes longer to get back. Just long enough to allow the craps to run their lanes. Vegas is off the strength of their game.

MAF has been good in the Final ,not great. I miss him as a personality, not a player. Fleury has always been streaky in the playoff's, both great and bad. He won the Pens Cups and lost them too. Keeping Murray was the right call at the time (damn salary cap).

Vegas had some good looks last game.
If Neal hits that wide open net, I think their confidence is high. Vegas was flying around in the 1st.

If they can get past Holtby, then we got a series.
If not, that cup is being hoisted tonight

I’ll say it again... the Pens were the next best team in NHL this year

Given our "health" this season.
It's safe to say probably the best.

I'm kinda glad the guys are able to rest and train more this off season.
Pens hockey will be back on top.

Hope our adopted step child out west extends the series tonight.
Keep the caps playing. See how Washington handles a shortened off season.
It's no easy feat.

When the caps are back on D, it looks like they have 8 guys on the ice. Their positioning in front of the net is just about impenetrable. I saw the mad Russian in front of his goalie on that last shift.

Whatever happens, I hope Vegas can knock Wilson into next week.

that will be waved off

or not

Well Vegas had a chance for a little. The Pens could have certainly beat this team....what a bummer. Oh well. Glad I turned it off...haha
