Odds That Rudolph Gets Traded?

Absolutely and you are correct in Ben did limit the playbook in the last year or two. I'm still not fascinated with what Canada does on offense, but it will be more open now with a QB who can move.
Ben may have limited the playbook somewhat but Canada proved he cannot adapt to the players he has. He removed the hurry-up/no huddle offense completely. His play calling was atrocious. Ben brought us back to win 7 or 8 games in spite of Canada. Canada has a ton to prove. Ben is a first ballot HOFer and the greatest QB to wear the black and gold even when he wasn't as mobile last year. He still did scramble and pick up a couple first downs on his legs.
No doubt Ben was aging and slowing down but the OL was so bad the last two seasons, soon to be three, that it's hard to say how much was on him.

Fully agree Ron as last years OL graded the last place OL in the NFL.

Couple that in with two consecutive OCs who grade pretty for down the list if not the worse OCs back to back in team / league history. Fitchner was nothing special and if anything held this team back and O'Canada has proven absolutely ZERO other than square peg into round hole.

I'm tired of BEN being the scape-goat when the true culprit was OCs. Ben isn't 100% obsolved but age takes everyone and his imobility was a known factor yet they gave him the shittiest OL and crappiest OC so how he overcame that to HIS degree is applaudable.

Andrew Filliponi is reporting that the Steelers would move him for no less than a Third… this is the right ask… if someone gets desperate and bites you get what you paid for him… if not, someone might barter you down a bit but you still get value… in a best case scenario, someone offers a lower round pick but a roster player in a position we could use depth at. Then we strengthen this year and future years rosters

Yeah, I don't think anyone would trade a 3rd for him straight-up unless their #1 goes down.

But in trading an asset that isn’t compromising your roster, you ask high, not at value. The Steelers dont need the cap space, so they aren’t having their hand forced.. there are probably four teams looking to upgrade their backup spot or get a decent starter…

most are holding out for Jimmy G, who obviously is going to get cut before the season starts… if you wanted to sink 20plus million into him, you could get him for a seventh… maybe less… but they have no need to trade him cause cutting him only costs them 2 mil… and nobody will claim him off of waivers unless they are desperate…

When he decides where he wants to play, the other teams are going to suddenly have more interest in the other available qbs…

So Khan asks for a third… maybe when Jimmy G picks a team or a team gets an injury, they panic and give it to him…. Maybe they offer a fourth instead… maybe they give us a fifth and a roster player we need…

That rostered player needs to be ILB.

Here we have some early value on the QB trade market. A 2024 7th amounts to basically nothing for Mullens.

Mullens is also a better QB than Randolph. Career passing rating huge edge to Mullens who is also very mobile.

To tell you the truth...a trade for anything under a 6th (AB) seems absurd to me.

GM1 "we want so and so for a 7th"

GM2 "**** off"

Sounds like Oladakun released. I'd say those odds just went to zero. They would have to trade Mason and then find a third clipboard holder after. I don't see that happening.

Oladukun was never making the roster... this probably increases the odds dramatically ... well that is if he clears and they can put him on the practice squad, then they dont need a 3 qb to start the season... they can simply promote him after the fact if needed. This way they know ahead of time. It also makes it clear that they arent simply giving Mason away... Typically the steelers have been very good at giving vets opportunities elsewhere if the ones here didnt play out as promised. It would be best for him to have a chance to at least be a two somewhere else this season. I believe they will give him that shot...

By Kahns comments thus far, I feel that a team or two has been trying to lowball him for Mason... I think there is interest out there, and I think with a legit offer, they will deal him. they arent dealing him for a fifth or lower though... they have to get something worthwhile back....

Why do they care , when they waste a pick on oladukon in the 7th round, and then cut him way before final cut downs?

My understanding was Chris O. had pre draft interest and likely wouldn't make it through waivers.

My understanding was.Chris O
Thats kind of why it makes sense as to why he is cut in this batch. If they release him now and someone really wants him they know now… then keeping Rudolph may be more imperative … if they trade him before they have someone locked down and under control, it becomes a bigger problem. Its all about keeping that roster spot for another player, but its not worth having no third QB on the roster at all

I’m thinking they’re going to keep Rudolph since they released Oladukon. Obviously were not getting any above-the-line offers and things of that nature if you will, obviously.

Just the facts, Mason sucks and mediocre talents like Mullens are better than him. I think he is a POS as a person and as a QB.
you came to this conclusion in all of your personal interactions with him I assume. Mason is 9-7 and 1 as a starter. what is Mullens record? maybe you are right.

Mason is 5-4-1 as a starter and has beaten one team with a winning record. He was carried by defense in the wins . He isn't 9-7-1 but keep making up stats moron.

Keep making excuses for him winning moron but complain when someone excuses his bad games.
If you don't want excuses for a loss I don't want excuses for wins.

POS as a person? Where the hell do you get this crap?

9-7-1

Mason Rudolph has a record of 9-7-1 in his career.
