But they must have one or two that stick out in their minds, right? I mean, I do it ALLLLLLLLLL the time. But nobody can recall one instance? When I feel like accusing someone of something, I try to make sure they've done it first.

As to why the board is changed from what it used to be, I would definitely say that it's because everyone has gotten older don't have as much patience for self aggrandizing behavior as we once did. I'd say I wind up arguing on here because I'm sarcastic, and an army of sopping, drippy ******* (see: what's left here) are prone to reading a sarcastic message board post from me and letting it ruin their day.

Of course, few, if any, of those 80 others actually called him a "world class receiver". I don't know if you actually believe they did or, again using hyperbole. Maybe they did and I just don't remember. Seems unlikely that there were more than one or two who said that.

No. I mean back when knowledgeable posters were the norm; there were more than 5-10 of them. The debates back then made sense, and excellent posters didn't get run off the board because 80 whiny ******* can't handle a thread like "Emmanuel Sanders is not a world-class receiver."



They were players whom I felt PROJECTED better to the NFL than Archer. And yes, I think all three will have better careers than Archer (as will most players). If you can't see the difference between a prediction and a projection, then I can't help you. A projection is an outcome that you EXPECT based on data and past outcomes. It doesn't necessarily "predict" future specifics, like rushing yardage or touchdowns. A prediction is something like "Steelers 20, Ravens 17" that Skip Bayless shouts on ESPN. I have no interest in that.

First of all, you don't see me responding to a genuine, uninitiated poster with rude sarcasm. I can be a smarmy prick on here, but someone who says "I think Sanders was a really good wideout for us" or "Jarvis had a promising rookie year" doesn't get sarcasm or attitude from me at all. I may respond to the post with statistical data that shows Sanders performed below the level of most WR2s, or that Jarvis had no sack production as a rookie. But you do not see me "go after" someone who just presented an opinion.

On the other hand, someone who posts "Fukk da hataz who say Manny wuzn't ne good! Just wanna b rite about there opinions and ain't real fanzzzzz!! Manny caught 60+ passes, which iz awesome!" is likely to get an equal response from me.

No. But I know that when I presented the facts and stats (which clearly show Sanders to be average at best), I was told I was a douchey non-fan for saying it. Which now happens with every single Steeler criticism on this board. ****, look at Pouncey thread. I posted a long, complimentary opinion of Pouncey as a top-tier center who was worth Alex Mack money, and probably a great fit in our new scheme. But when I suggested that the extension may have come too early, the Pissypants Crew showed up on time to throw a fit.

Nobody got run off the board. If you're refering to TMC in the Archer thread, he inexplicably overreacted to a few posts, was way too sensitive.and he decided to take his ball and go home. Wether he knew it or not, the guys he was arguing with - like myself - happened to be fans of his, always respected his football knowledge. Anyway, he got all sensitive and sulked off. We're mostly all grown men here, can't explain that situation, ce la vie. But it's cute that you run around here on the board defending him like you're his girlfriend or something. Jesus. If TMC feels like posting here he will, if not he won't. Same goes for the rest of us.

Uh huh, it's everyone else not you. There is no example necessary, your arrogance oozes out in most of your posts, but rather than copy and paste every post you make, because that would be silly, just go ahead and keep harping on it and remain oblivious to what everyone else but you can plainly see. You remind me of the parent of a school child who incessantly complains for 10 years that every teacher, every school and every Principal their kid has come in contact with can't stand them for absolutely NO reason, they are just big meanies and pick on him/her. Yet they seem to like and get along with the other kids in the class just fine. Basically it's everyone around the kid who is the problem, not the kid. In reality the kid is a complete pain in the *** and has been a complete pain in the *** since they were in Kindergarten. These parent will change them into 4 different school districts and cannot make a connection when the same exact thing happens at every stop. My kid is fine, It's everyone else that is the problem

Dude, I have been here for a shitload of years. There have ALWAYS been reports posted here on each and every little tidbit about OTA's, workouts and Mini Camps. Why? Because people were excited about the season getting closer. And NOBODY bitched about it, people swallowed them up greedily and got pumped. They didn't use them to take each and every opportunity to piss and moan about everything. Something HAS certainly changed for the worse, I agree with you there. You are just focused on the wrong thing because you would have to be a little self aware to notice what went wrong with the place.

It sounds like you feel threatened by optimism on any subject. Why is that? Honest question.

I'm well aware of my smartass tone. Your accusation, however, was that I refuse to admit to being wrong, and that I hate certain Steelers for life based on not liking them as draft prospects. I asked for an example of that.

I love to come here and find opinion about this player and that team, once in a while I will pop out a thought or two if I can remember them.

I certainly cannot enjoy the time here perusing this site as much as I once did because we have all this negativity and childish rants, rumbles and name calling....If I wanted to indulge my self in that crap I would just go home, I have kids of my own for Christ's Sake!!!

I remember the Sanders thread but I don't remember you even conceding that Manny was "average-at-best". I will take your word for it. If you did, then it was like pulling teeth to get you that far.

I'm pretty sure you specifically said mediocre and we agreed that that doesn't really mean "average". That could have been another thread, though.

I believe it was since the board reset that you essentially told supe and I that we weren't educated enough because we didn't watch enough film. I called you out on it in that thread. I just read every post in the Pouncy thread after yours up through Steelerfan448. Several agree (me included) with most of your analysis. I'm sure that you consider andrew part of the PissyPants Crew, but his post doesn't mention yours, at all and certainly isn't whiny. I don't know what you see.
