Sadly our best rush option is Heyward.

They better let Worilds walk this off season. Some here thought Moats was going to come in and show just how bad Jarivs was but he doesn't seem to be doing a better job. We seriously need an upgrade at OLB. Hoyer had all day to stand in the pocket. It is going to be a longgggggg season.

No one we draft in 2015 will do us a damn bit of good any time soon. Lebeau needs to go. They need a D-coordinator that can get rookies on the field fast, and play at a high level.

****, at least the QB could see Jarvis' shadow because he was that close. Moats, isn't getting anywhere near the QB ... and some here also said he was better against the run than Jones ... When? Where? Is he going to show it anytime?

Jarvis is the worst pass rusher I have ever seen, he can't beat a tackle and was injured when he was thrown to the ground and accidently hit the QBs hand on his way down. He will set this franchise even farther back as we wll have to draft an LB in the 1st round this year fr the 3rd straight year to make up for the stupid pick we wasted on him which most Steeler fans knew was a waste on draft day.

I was thinking free agent someone like Brian Orakpo or Justin Houston.

Yes the Steelers could use a pass rusher.

The personal decisions have been spotty at best................

Then it doesn't say much for Moats that he isn't doing better than Jarvis.

Let's get this years sec sack leader since the last two have been such great pros. You know sec sack leaders are guaranteed to be great.

Was Moats the 15th pick in the 1st round or a journeyman that was picked up on the cheap ? They have the same talent level, mediocre to poor.

Is Moats starting now? Is Moats doing better than Jarvis did? Because from my posts, that's all I stated. You can agree or disagree, but I stand by my statement. If Jarvis sucks, Moats sucks more.

Moats is playing better than Jarvis ever has and he was a low priced free agent not a 1st round bust.

Yeaaaahhhh ... OK. lol. You keep on with that train of thought. I'm gonna mosey on over to the tv and watch The Walking Dead. Have a good night there partner.

You too , you always seem to be wrong about the Steelers but carry on your condescending ways.

This is about the pass rush as a whole not your campaign to keep on going on about how much Jarvis sucks.

The pass rush sucks as a whole because the ROLB is the primary pass rusher in the 3-4, unfortunately the position the sack of **** Jarvis plays.

The pass rush looked good in the 1st quarter. What happened from there? Hoyer had all day and started lobbing the ball out to wide open receivers.

Arthur Moats (born March 14, 1988) is an American football linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Moats played college football at James Madison, where he was team captain. He is well known for delivering the hit on Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre that ended Favre's streak of consecutive starts the following week at 297.[1]

Moats is a Sixth round draft pick that was a free agent because his last team did not think he was worth keeping but he is doing as good as JJ, Moats actually has a sack and managed to get it with out being knocked into the QB. Both of these guys play like sixth rounders.

I think you're getting away from my original point. Which was that when Jones went down, some on here were saying that Moats was an "upgrade", a more natural pass rusher and a better defender against the run. After Jones has been out for 2 1/2 games, Moats has had the starting assignment and I for one am not seeing the "upgrade" that was predicted. Does that mean I think Jones is a pro bowl player? Nope. But, it's telling as far as the condition of this team's pass rush as a whole that even after missing those 2 1/2 games he's still tied with Worilds for second on the team with a measly 2 sacks. Cam Heyward a DE leads the team for chrissakes.

So, without anyone thinking or misinterpreting that I'm saying that Jones is the "second coming of Lloyd", I'm asking, where is this upgrade that Moats was supposed to provide? I remind you that those who made this prediction didn't use Moats' draft position as a reason why this might not occur when they made the prediction. So, if it was irrelevant to the original prediction, it's irrelevant to the defense. Where is the upgrade? That's all I want to know.
