What a pleasant surprise this morning!
Middle Daughter over for dinner last night and asked me if I was going to watch ..
I did not give the correct answer..

Geno is bi polar. He is super dominant in games (like yesterday), and then he stinks up the ice for too many games.
 
Well they didn't get their doors blown off by Boston, still lost 3-2.
 
I heard that instead of chanting "Let's go Pens!" The crowd chanted "Shoot the puck!"

Just tuned in the game and we're already down 0-2. Tor has 10 shots on goal 7 minutes in. Might be a good day to do something else...

Looks like we need to just outscore folks since we have no defense. I bet we can't.
 
Islanders just landed a great prospect and a 1st round pick for Brock Nelson. Surely the Pens can get something for guys like Letang, Karlsson, Rust and Malkin. Gotta somehow convince those guys to waive their NMC’s. Those contracts are killing this franchise. Graves too. And Jarry. I’m sure there are others.

Rust is one of the few I want to keep.

Nah, not me. Blow it up, start the rebuild in earnest. As much as it would hurt, I would move on from Sid too. Send him somewhere for a chance to win another cup. Problem is that several of the players that need to be moved have horrible contracts that no one in their right mind is going to take on unless they can't hit the salary floor and are already terrible anyway. The Pens are in a really tough spot. Letang and Malkin still have multiple years on their contracts. Jarry and Graves do too. Rust produces when he can play, and Rakell has had a nice season, one of the few bright spots.

You could probably get something decent for Rakell and Rust. Malkin and Letang aren't netting you much based on the contracts unless the Pens retain like 50%, but at least you get something to build with. Nobody is taking Jarry or Graves. I'm hoping they buy out Jarry. That contract was epically stupid.

Meh. There are worse things to disagree on.

I would just cut Geno and Letang if we cant trade them. Keep Sid and rust, blow up the rest.

You're correct on the bad spot we are in. Sucks.
 
Also a prospect or two to the Pens in the Glass trade
 
Brad Marchand traded to Florida. No word on the return yet.
