Bout ******* time they score. Come on boys. Steal game one.
I'm not blaming MAF, he really had no chance on either goal. Our D is so slow and old, it's painful to watch. We are the most vanilla team in the NHL.
Kunitz doesn't deserve a spot in the top 6. They keep shuffling his dead weight from one top line to another. Winnik sucks too, his spot on the top line is not working either.
The Ducks can scratch Wisniewski and start Despres, why can't we scratch Kunitz and give Wilson, Kapanen, or Farnham a shot ? Pens need a spark
The power play that gave the Rangers their 2nd goal was total BS. The penalty should have been on the Rangers on not on our guy. Even the Rangers biased announcers watched the replay and were speechless. They weren't sure where the penalty was on our guy but you could see the Ranger guy with his fist in our guys face. But, we still need to score more than 1 goal to win. We have the best player in the game and arguably the 2nd best (at least in the top 5) player. If we can't score more than a goal or two per game, then we have no chance to win. They must put up 3 or 4 in every game to have a chance.
I honestly feel it comes down that if you blanket Sid and Geno when they are on the ice, they can't make plays and their supporting cast is not strong enough to finish. Horny is good, but he can't carry a line, if Sid is invisible. That what it seems to me, anyway. Both men have no room on the ice and whether they are fed the puck or try to make a play, they are covered, hooked, grabbed, etc. Maybe I'm looking too much into their lack of production, but it seems like the recipe to contain them. They have no space.
Yeah your top stars get a shot or two on goal for THE ENTIRE GAME! What the hell? I think i could manage that and i haven't been on skates in 15 years.
they did sit Adams, didn't they? That's a start. . . This team is just not put together well. Besides Sutter, who do we have to turn a game around? Lapierre showed some grit. Downey, even as he loses his head every other shift, showed a spark or two, but Winnik, Bennett, Kunitz, Spaling, Comeau and the players mentioned previously are 3rd liners. Hornquist and maybe Perron, are the only worthy Top 2 line wingers.
Our Dmen are slow or old. They need Geno to come back to take the puck up the ice because they are so slow and get trapped in their zone. They played a decent game last night, but it may be the game they could have stole. We'll see which team shows up tomorrow night.
Thought it was off sides as well. Sour grapes time again but the officiating sucked bad last night......how do you NOT call the high stick that sends a guy in for stitches?
The interference that went uncalled all night ( and all season really) really had me pissed....it's like officials have decided the better a guy is the more you should be allowed to mug him.
See above....tough to shoot when you're wearing someone like an extra jersey.
Agree 100%....there has to be someone amongst the youngsters who has the ability and speed to skate the puck up ice. The Rangers were cheating up ice all night because they know the Pens don't have that ability right now.
Overall I thought they played a very good game.....Doumoulin and Cole had strong nights. Officiating needs to be much better.
They need to do something. I have never seen a player falling to the ice as much as Kunitz did last night. Also, his lack of speed is astonishing.
The Pens were the better team from the 2nd period on. They need to figure out how to score. .
how very interesting...

Friday Insider: Penguins eyeing buyouts
Barring some unforeseen reversal in the performance of one or more veteran players in these Stanley Cup playoffs, the Penguins are anticipating the buyout of one or more of those veterans’ remaining contracts this summer
I don’t have names, so please don’t ask. None were given.
What I do know is that the buyout or buyouts will be aimed at making the roster both younger and more manageable in the salary cap sense, and that other steps will be taken, as well. There was no elaboration on the latter.
Emphasizing again that I have no names for this, I’ll offer my own best possibility in this category as being Chris Kunitz. He’s had a miserable season, he’s 35, and he’s due $3.85 million each of the next two seasons, thanks to Ray Shero handing him a three-year, $11.55 million extension two summers ago.
