He sucks.

Someone had to say it.

he got the shaft!

really someone right now is giving him their shaft

Wrong forum. He'll end up on their practice squad anyway.

I actually think he'll land on a roster somewhere. They're loaded at DL and he still almost made it. He's not as bad as I thought he was going to be.. not a starter or impact player by any means.. but should land somewhere

What if the 49ers pick him up to fill in for Aldon Smith

I think we should pick him up....He had more sacks than our whole DL. I think he would be a good back up here....In passing downs I would put him in over Jarvis at OLB....He would not do any worse.

The Rams were loaded at the position. He showed flashes in preseason. He will likely not clear waivers. If he does, as stated above, practice squad. Alot has changed with practice squads doubling in size this year. You can effectively have a 63 man roster now.

once more... he was an average talent that had an outstanding season, but was unfortunate enough to be entering the draft during one of the deepest drafts ever, especially at his position. The reality was he didn't have a great chance to stick anywhere. Good story for ESPN and the papers, but that's about it

I honestly thought he would never get cut, regardless of how bad he was.

He is on the phone with Kluwe's lawyer...lol

Lets play what if....if he had 3 sacks in the pre-season for the Steelers and was cut...considering our pathetic pass rush...what would Steeler Nation say?

The guy the Rams kept over Sam - Ethan Westbrooks, their #9 d-lineman - graded as PFF's #1 DE this preseason. #1 in the league, not the Rams.

I'd dump Landry Jones in a heartbeat and pickup Sam. He doesn't play the run very well, likely why he didn't make the Rams bust is an effective pass rusher. I think he would be top OLB backup within a month.

I think he could be a situational pass rusher.

But with that with the media attached to his hip not unlike they were with Tebow. Would he be worth a POTENTIAL distraction.

We already had one of those early, not sure its the route to go.

Read that some people that watched him said he didn't play well on special teams. Not sure if that is true or not, but if it is the case, you can probably forget about it.

He got cut for a reason . Special teams play probably was a direct result of his overall slow speed. That is something that you can't hide on special teams. Gay / media / can be dealt with, its the slowness thats got butts hurting.

Salute the nation

Still would be better on special teams than Landry Jones.
