Its kinda hard to have your kid interact with even a former Steelers player when you live 1500 miles away. However, we had our spring tackle league game at our local university college stadium last night. The Roughriders are holding their camp their camp at the stadium. Players were in the training room getting treatment. They came down and watched the kids play. One of the players had a steelers tattoo on his arm. I struck up a conversation with him and it was Mortty Ivy. He was super nice and graciously took time with the kids. Too bad he got hurt waived. Sounded like he would have loved to just be on the squad being from Pittsburgh himself. Would have given it his all on special teams.
