I think it's a smart move, since it makes teams spend time preparing for two very different QB's (Flacco and Jackson).
But could cause a QB controversy if Jackson has a lot of success with the snaps he gets.

If they like Jackson enough to build separate game plans for him, why not just stick with him? Flacco (among other things) has obviously held the offense back for years. He's terrible. Just move on

When you have 2 starting QB's you have none. Rarely if ever does it work and it seems to me that it is more about a coach not willing to make the tough decisions as to who is going to lead his team.

If you play two QBs you have no starter. Super in theory has bever worked for real to my knowledge. Im not talking about slash 10 play package. I mean like both play.

IMO, they should resign Flacco - or extend, whatever - to a 15 year, $250 mil contract with a $100 mil signing bonus. ALL guaranteed.

Jackson is the future. They are probaly going to slowly have him play more and more without the pressure of being "the starter". If he does well he will get more oppurtunity

The ravens would take a huge cap hit to cut Flacco. When you have 2 Qb's, you really have none.

I could see them sneaking a couple wins with it. It is tough to prepare for. It just doesnt work in the long run. Happens a lot in the CFL. Doesnt work.

**** it,......let them as it just shows NEITHER is good enough to be full starter. That offense is struggling and their cap hit on JOE is to much to over come and do the right thing...................................could be how our situation with BELL ends up, that is if the STEELERS were dumb *****.....................

Didn't we hear this a couple of years ago when they took the QB from Navy?

They are not playing two separate QBs they are playing two QBs together at the same time

Forever young. Jackson time.
Flacco era is coming to an end I think.

Something tells me the Bal/Pit rivalry is not gonna be as big as years prior.

Nothing is locked in right now. They are just looking at things. LJ even ran with the first team for a look-see in one report.Even if LJ runs a slash here and there I doubt it is often. Unless he really lights it up. But I don't think he has the speed of a Vick or Kordell. We'll see........

That will give the Steelers fits. We all know it...

Yep. Commit to Flacco until the team underachieves and Jackson is ready. If the Ravens are in contention, you go for one more ride with Flacco. This seems like the KC situation with Smith and Mahomes, except with two less talented QBs.

Play whoever is worse against the Steelers and watch them light it up.

I heard on the radio next season the cap hit isn't bad for cutting Unibrow. Maybe we will see a bit of slash this season. I diubt it but would be interesting.

I think you're right. Mobile QBs tend to torture the Steelers. Also, the Dick LeBeau rule of first year QBs never beat the Steelers does not exist anymore. If anything, first year QBs have the advantage against us.

Worked well with O'Donnell and Slash. I can see Jackson being very successful in the red zone, but that will hurt Flacco's numbers, and he'll start getting salty about it. It will end in an implode, and the Ravens will have to look to trade the Flacchise.

This is all very much premature and in no way does Jackson supplant Flacco this season unless he completely dominates in training camp and preseason. Or if Flacco goes down.
I think the smart thing to do is let the kid learn for a year under Flacco then make your move next season.
Maybe they try and deal Flacco next off season if Jackson progresses well enough.

you guys can laugh it up all you want about jackson/flacco and qb controversies meaning that you actually don't have ONE proven starter...
but jackson is going to absolutely light us up twice a year.

I'm on the boat of actually letting this Jackson kid play a game or two before making a prediction like that. HOF bound and where is OCHO-Cinco when you need him.

If they use Jackson enough to force teams to use practice time to prepare for him, then mission accomplished.
Don't believe Flacco would have a problem with that philosophy.
