I agree with those who correctly note that the modern adaptation of Christianity is generally a force for good - schools, charity, volunteer work, etc.

And further, that if we believe that the Bible is an accurate historical account, then must we not also believe that God is apparently a mass murderer? What religious conquest was the Emperor of Japan on when he killed multi millions of Chinese? What religious orthodoxy was responsible the killing fields? Most wars are started over land and money. Yes, I know some atheists try to shoe horn religion into every killing, murder or war. But many many many of all those happened at the hands of people that either didn't believe in God or were agnostic towards there being a god.

I don't mean to sound creepy but I've read almost everything written about Hitler. In my youth I couldn't understand how someone could be so maniacal so I studied him a lot. Hitler would kill any one who questioned him. Witnesses wouldn't salute, wouldn't agree to fight, and wouldn't vote for him. It wasn't just him, they disagree with these things in general. Hitler was a psycho at heart.

I saw you post but not sure what it has to do with religion visa vie the killing of Chinese. They didn't seize Manchuria because of a religion. They didn't take the costal cities because of religion either. It was all about raw materials. The Japanese were very religious people who saw the Emperor as divine but that wasn't the reason for the killing of Chinese. Also Shinto-ism has no supreme god. It has no established doctrine either. The Japanese don't "do" anything because their religious doctrine because they don't have one. It's a very fluid religion. If you can even call it a religion.
