Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

If Tomlin is so interested in getting rodgers, when you factor in how aggressively they went for another #1 WR, maybe, just maybe, coolshades wants to open up the offense because he trusts the vet QB, unlike he did with the carousel before
Maybe, but Russ is a vet QB as well and we saw how that went.

Not to intentionally turn this into a bash Tomlin thread, but the run, run, pass to the sidelines, punt, while keeping the pigeons in the middle of the field safe philosophy, clearly isn't working.

While I hope that I'm wrong, and will always support the team, I doubt it will make any real difference no matter who they bring in to play QB.

The latest, without resorting to posting links for other sites, is they met for 6 hours and $ wasn't part of the discussion. So. it appears power is. Rogers wants say in what the Steelers are doing, Clown-lin must want to keep the power and be able to control the run, run, pass to sidelines 3rd down, punt 4th over and over. I don't know what else the hold up is.

Could he win a title here?
Not a ****** chance. He's been like 32 and on loaded teams and come up short. So I really don't give two ***** if he lights it up. Still a round one exit at best. He had players in NY too you know. He didn't win sweet FA.
I’d rather they tank and get a high pick next year. But then you are also saying you are giving up on this Watt-led defense as well. They aren’t gonna do that. They have Tomlinships to keep winning! Aaron Rodgers is one of the five best quarterbacks to ever play this game. Even at his age he would put up numbers here with targets like Metcalf, Pickens and Freiermuth.

I think he wants authority to have kahn approve who to get at deadline and rest of FA, I hope if it is trade for Kamara who wants out of 3 teams we are there do it, and if its something petty like sign cobb or some former teammate then just do it, It is beyond this scope then just sign Russ.

He'd put up numbers they'd win games and we will be back in this exact place next year running the hamster wheel of mediocrity.

I agree with you. But people here are acting like he’s completely washed up and I don’t think that’s the case. Out of who is left on the market and on this team, Rodgers easily gives us the best chance to win if they want to go that route. And with this defense, that’s what they might elect to do. Tomlin is still the coach though, and therein lies our ultimate limiting factor.

I've heard 40 plus million a year. I highly doubt he is washed up. No one is riding him to the SB not even close. But maybe 10.

Times are tough, Aaron is power-tripping.

Tomlin has met his man-crush match.

Our beloved Steelers have sunken further yet.

Murky waters, injury blues of a man who’s 42.

Out comes that small red glow, a leadership of the Tomlinships express………..

Oh heart and pain, the 9 win season will remain.

Award’s aside, talking heads abide, the sled we ride.

The end is one year closer, that fact remains of a groundhog born again.

I read another report that Aiyuk is seeking a trade to the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers is his new agent.

BA is coming any day now, never has there been a clearer signal, surely they’re working out the details for the impending Aiyuk deal.

The goal is to ensure they get to 9 or 10 wins. Whatever it takes, baby.

Rodgers mouth, stubbornness, ego, willingness to throw anyone under the bus, and constant need to have a voice in the media vs. Tomlins ego, stubborn insistence on a run first ball control offense, and lack of ability to control players attitudes and selfishness

Add a side of diva receivers in DK and Pickens

Will Rodgers even be allowed to audible? Ben couldn’t at the end of the his career. It sounds like Russ got in hot water for doing it. How many weeks until this gets discussed on Pat McAfee’s show?

Why neither Tomlin or Rodgers can’t see they are terrible fit for each other and just move on shows their blindness/desperation/egos

There will be a new level of disfunction and drama, hey at least this years journey to a first round playoff beatdown won’t be boring
Given the situation with Tomlin and Dookie just doing GroundHog Day each season, how would accentuating the lack of accountability and dysfunction be bad, longer term, for the Steelers and Steeler fans?

There once was a man from Nantucket........

My hope is the larger media is finally on to this game. And though not a big fan of the Deuce he had to be heavily involved in some of the 2005-2010 run. Dan was pretty old. I don't think Deuce will take well the open ridicule of the franchise. And looking at the moves and what they are trying this offseason its a dumpster fire death spiral. We will just have to watch it to get the necessary changes. And if they give him another contract my serious following of this team is over till they wake the **** up.

They shouldn't be offering him more than $25 or 30 million with maybe a few incentives. If they are offering him $40 million, it is a dumb move and one Rooney is obviously OK with. Rooney should have put an end to this nonsense and told Tomlin to give Rodgers a 48-hour deadline. But, it seems even more obvious Rooney has pretty much checked out of actually running the team and has given Tomlin just about complete control.

The main goal is for Tomlin to reach the 200 win total for regular season. It will be an iconic plateau. Of course along the way to that number Tomlin will pass Noll's number of 193.

Even a guy like me who doesn’t even follow college players knows it’s Melrose.

Like Melrose Place, that 90s TV series……………….?

Agree, but Deuce will take the open ridicule of the franchise because he will not, no way, no how, be the Rooney who fires the Steelers first Rooney Rule hire.
Never gonna happen. Shades will be here as long as long as Shades wants to be here or until Deuce retires, whichever comes first.

He is getting close to the age his dad was when he retired right?
