Rumor: Steelers looking to trade for WR

Waddle...now Khan!

After Thursday, I still and even more so think if they trade for someone it should be on defense. Not that it will matter

Whatever they do....its too little too late. Every team goes through this. I just hope they don't trade away any real value in their feeble attempt.

Then what was the point of bringing in Rodgers? Either they are in it to win it all this year or they are just engaging in a front office circle jerk thst the non casual fans will see through. Think about it from their perspective: you bring in someone that can possibly get you to the AFCC game and maybe win it and you use that capital to keep the heat off you for a while longer.

You win the big one and Tomlin can have another 6 or 7 years of non losing without too much heat. The fans are going to mutiny at some point if you don't accomplish something significant.

I heard multiple teams called about waddle, but Miami says he is not in the table. We would probably have to overpay to get him if he does become avaliable. I would definitely entertain bringing him in.

We didn't use the guy we traded for last season. So I don't see any reason to trade for another WR. Especially after we had Pickens here. Why not keep him for the season and let him walk afterwards.

Olave would be perfect alongside DK. I know he has an extensive concussion history, but it might be worth the risk if this team is trying to win now with Rodgers.
If be fine with olave if the price is right. He is a risk / reward player. I wouldn't give up more than a 5th for him

Legette sucks Donk** D***. People on here are really grasping at straws
The term "grasping at straws" originated from a 1534 proverb by Thomas More in his book, Dialogue of Comfort Against Tribulation, which stated, "A drowning man will clutch at straws". This refers to the desperate act of a drowning person grabbing at thin, flimsy reeds that would not help them

Maybe because he was cheap. Just like Fields was.Just like Wilson was. Just like Mason Rudolph was. Just like Kenny Pickett was. Just like Trubisky was. I just fail to think Rodgers was their ”all in plan”.

We haven’t had a high QB contract since 2021. Seems to me they have been trying to save $$$$ in this position. They could have got Sam Darnold if they really wanted him. Sam just turned 28 and is doing just fine up in Seattle.

This is not me saying Aaron is not doing good. He is.
But it’s that age thing. Mobility thing. And then We are going to go through the same thing as last season, while Aaron makes up his mind to play. We will be right back to square one. Darnold would have given us 4+ full years of not worrying about the qb position. I’ve been watching him play. He’s definitely in the top 10 QB’s now.

And I know CMT and the media will one day start claiming the brilliance of the move to get Rodgers.
Never forget they wanted Fields, made an offer…..he said no. It was said they made an offer to Darnold.
Any Tom,Dick or Harry could see that Rodgers was the last choice of the whole league. Nobody was beating the door down to get him.

Tomlin and Aaron Glenn both though Fields was the long term answer. Shocking
Both should be fired on those grounds alone.
Thank god Fields saved us from the disaster he is in NY.
Age aside, Rodgers has played better than I though he would. Most of the negative press on him comes from the woke media that didn't like him exercising his freedom of speech, had little to do with football.

people on here thought fields was unfairly benched and was progressing. Tomlin obviously didn't think fields was the answer or he wouldn't have been benched and not resigned. I wouldn't have minded going with Fields/ Rudolph, but i certainly wouldn't have given Fields 20 million. I think Rodgers was the best deal out there. I think we don't draft a qb just to draft one and roll with Rudolph/ Rodgers if the draft value is not there.

Tyler Lockett is expected to be granted his release and free to sign with any team on Wednesday after 4:00.

Yeah, Tomlin definitely didnt think Fields was the long term answer. He was hoping he would be a steal from the Bears. Didn't turn out that way....much to my chagrin since hes a Big Ten guy.

A fellow by the name of William Saphire used to publish a column about language. He often cited the first use of phrases or words. He would report the origins. It was fascinating.

some day skibidy will be ingrained in our language , along with bro .. and when you ask the computer where it came from ,, it will be nothing , silence.

Didn't they offer fields money to stay? Maybe I got confused, but I swore they tried keeping him
