I was at the game. 3rd row. Different perspective.
Russ ain't it. I got feedback weeks ago for saying Russ ain't it. Was told Russ passes the eye test.
LOL.
Russ is turning the ball over way too much and taking way too many sacks. His turnovers this week and last killed us. He is NOT seeing the field. He is a one-trick pony - he throws a pretty, deep moon ball.
Father Time has knocked on his door. He is not our future. Why we are not investing in developing what could be a QB is beyond me. And Justin will likely walk and take an offer elsewhere now.
We entered the toughest part of the season, Russ got worse. "Oooh he was so great against CIN." Spare me. Russ beat the Jets, Giants, Commanders, BAL, Cincy and Cleveland. Two decent wins and a loss to CLE. But he went 0-3 in a stretch where we needed at least one win against a legit team. Against real, playoff-worthy opponents. He had his worst showings.
You can see his QBR regressed. His sacks increased. 3 straight losses.

He has 15 TDs, 5 picks and TWENTY NINE sacks. He's fumbled the ball 5 times, lost 4. The 4 lost fumbles cost us dearly each time.
Yes there is far more to these wins and losses than just the QB. The D isn't what people purport it is. Tomlin has handcuffed yet another Offensive Coordinator. Play calling is abysmal.
Russ has had enough chances to shine. He needed to step up in one of the last 3 games.
He ain't it.
