I don't see the speed that the talking heads see w/ Willis. He is elusive though...
Oh gosh...Man I’ll bet Canada is saying holy **** this guy Willis could run my offense beautifully.
I have to say something nice about our OC. They do need a mobile QB to run his offense or he has no chance to succeed here.Oh gosh...
Willis a A LOT faster. For those that took the time to look at the highlights from Haskins (find it on YouTube if you want)---I'm going to say it---I don't see much difference in Haskin's game vs. Willis'.
Maybe one has better intangibles but skills-wise, I don't see a difference...
Thoughts???
I must be old because I don't see that speed. I hope I'm wrong...Willis a A LOT faster.
Willis is definitely more mobile as far as being able and willing to run the ball. Can't discount that in today's NFL. Haskins is more willing to stay in the pocket as it collapses. Both have cannons. And actually, Haskins was a very accurate college QB. That hasn't translated well to the NFL.For those that took the time to look at the highlights from Haskins (find it on YouTube if you want)---I'm going to say it---I don't see much difference in Haskin's game vs. Willis'.

Don't worry, Berm. He'll be long gone by #20.For those that took the time to look at the highlights from Haskins (find it on YouTube if you want)---I'm going to say it---I don't see much difference in Haskin's game vs. Willis'.

You're wrong
I agree with you Berm, the speed just doesn't jump out at you, almost looks like he's jogging at 3/4 speed.I told you I'm old now...
I feel like we're watching two different guys. Howell just doesn't do it for me. I saw him in bits of games this year (Notre Dame and Pitt) and he just reminded me of Mayfield. Good athlete, adequate arm strength and mobility (neither are "WOW" factors), prone to leave the pocket quickly and accuracy issues.Howell had an up and down career but you can see why he’s a top prospect. He’s the most physically talented QB in the draft in terms of size, arm strength, mobility and exposure to a more pro style passing game. Maybe not size, but he’s tall enough and is the best combo of upside and ability to play immediately
Howell is just barely 6'1"...he DOES NOT have elite size. And he looks like Baker Mayfield but fat...Howell had an up and down career but you can see why he’s a top prospect. I didn't see that but I'm not getting paid to evaluate or pick these kids. He made some nice reads I just don't see what everyone else sees---not longterm that is...I think Pickett cemented top 10 status. Nobody else really screams to me pick him in 1! Just underwhelming options to me.

So Landry Jones. Got it...so he reminds you of mayfiled who was the #1 overall pick. In most years he'd be an afterthought but in this draft, he's probably the top guy due to upside. Josh Allen was pretty erratic even in his first year in Buffalo. All teams want the run threat QB. Ridder and Willis are mobile but Howell is ahead of them as a pocket passer.
I'm not going to feel great if any of these guys are the steelers 1st rounder. They all have flaws. Picket is the surest bet but in some ways he could also be the worst pick. I would much rather draft a guy and he turn out to be a bust and you move on rather than get a guy who is just good enough to get you to the playoffs but no further.
Picket could be good but may also top out as a Dalton or Cousins or Garopolo. In other words, you may waste 5 or more seasons on a guy like that before you realize he's not the guy. That's what worries me most in the next QB. Not a bust, a mediocrity.
