Solutions to NFL dilemma?

Right. It is the righteous indignation and condescending that is happening all over. Look, if they couldn't complete this game or they are going to cancel other games or do all kinds of maneuvering or whatever the hell...out of respect for this young man, then go all the way. Don't half *** it and make it a token show. I'm tired of that. We have way too much of that in society right now. All about appearances. If they are really serious, cancel the rest of the season now, all of it. Playoffs, Super Bowl and everything. Put some real action behind all the indignation and condescending. If not, shut the hell up and play.
It isn't about the player anymore....it is about appearance.

We should definitely go 8 AFC playoff teams, but im not sure that helps us a whole lot. Both NE and Miami have wins over us so at least one would still need to lose. I do think Hamlin would want Buffalo to go out there and play so that may give them a boost.

You have to wonder if this has set a precedent for whenever a player is possibly seriously injured and is taken away in an ambulance. Will the NFL suspend games after a player suffers a potential head trauma or spinal cord injury that is then treated with the proverbial “ambundance of caution”? Those are a lot more common than Hamlin/ Reggie Brown injuries.

For fantasy league purposes, the NFL should at least simulate the game on Madden.

No.

The NFL should just go to 8 team playoffs already… undeserving teams already get in and you know they are itching for expansion again… like Ive said before, give everyone a week off then stagger the games so the 4 plays the 5 Thursday, the 3 plays the 6 the following Friday, the 2’s play the 7’s Saturday, and the 1’s play the eights Sunday… four days of playoff football… money galore… also time to fix in season issues without a big disruption

What are the implications of that? Does that mean it won't be played or only that whatever took place on Monday doesn't count, or both?
Probably they will go with winning percentage to determine seeding since most teams will have played 17 games but two playoff teams have only played 16 games.

Scenario 1, scenario 2, scenario 3, a coin toss will determine, move the championship game to a neutral site…. When the solution gets really complicated, maybe you ****** it up?

Also the city basically halfway between

Hopefully if the Chiefs play Buffalo they are smart enough to put the game in Indy and not Cinci lol

Baltimore already beat Cinci once this year… why involve the coin flip at all? Winner takes all game, pure and simple….
Because the Ravems had a lot more **** ups including last week vs. Steelers. So Cincinnati will have a better winning percent regardless of outcome Sundy. Had Buffalo beat Bengals on Monday and the Ravens beat the Bengals Sunday they would win virtue of a tiebreaker.

If that same thing happened to the Steelers Id be livid… IIRC if the Ravens won on Sunday, and lets be fair, tgey most likely will not, the only difference between the Bengals record and the Ravens is that the Ravens played and lost vs the Bills while the Bengals only played a quarter vs them then had the game stricken from the books… hey, after one quarter, the Ravens were leading the Bills 14-3… then ultimately lost by 3

Ravens vs Steelers 1-1
Ravens vs Browns 1-1
Bungles vs Steelers 1-1
Bungles vs Browns 1-1
If Bungles vs Ravens ended up 2-0 for tge Ravens, Cinci should not get the Division title based solely on an incomplete game…

Just looking at a road map....

Buffalo vs. Cinci could potentially be played in Pittsburgh or Cleveland. 'Burgh would likely have better weather.
Buffalo vs. KC should be played in Cinci.
Buffalo vs. Ratbirds could be played in Pittsburgh.

That is unique, doesn’t happen very often but it draws me to a throw-back era of memory. LOVE IT

Thanks for p[osting SteelerFan448 and for all your great post(s) along the way.

The fairest thing would be to play it In Indianapolis … that should be about 7 or 8 hours from both cities…
The worse thing they could do is play it in Cinci and invoke images of the injury all game long
The coolest thing they could do for Pittsburgh is play it here… free tailgate with no emotional ties.
The coldest but probably most fitting thing they could do is play the game in Cleveland, then they could have the first playoff game ever in that stadium not even have the Browns in it lol

Think about KC. They essentially have to play an extra game to retain what should be the #1 seed only to quite possibly have to play the AFC Championship at a neutral site instead of home.

If I’m them, I think I’d petition the NFL for one of those “non-games” this weekend.

If buffalo beat Cinci, KC would not even control their destiny… this actually helped KC… starting last week KC needed to win 2 times AND have buffalo lose once… applying what transpired to last week’s odds, they just have to win twice or have buffalo lose its last game… they massively increased their chances at the 1 seed and control their own destiny without Buffalo getting a chance to actually win that game

KC should be pretty happy.. plus the odds that the AFC cg is going to be KC Buffalo aren’t 100%… if buffalo gets upset, KC still gets hfa..

Why?

Again, I understand what you are saying. But my point has been with all of the righteous indignation and condescending going on over this situation, how football isn't that important and it's about life and all that, if they truly believe that, there should be no complaints with whatever the NFL does from anybody. This is an extraordinary situation as we have been told time and time again.

Assuming Buffalo had won a game they were losing. Cincy wins and KC would have controlled its own destiny and not had to potentially play at a neutral site.

Again, the Ravens were beating buffalo by a score of 14-3 after the first. They also trailed tge Browns, Pats and Bears after the first, and I could be missing some… yet one all of tgem… in at least two of their losses they were leading after one… the Bills aren’t a great first quarter team.. that absolutely doesn’t matter
