Standings

Simple we control our own destiny. Win all 6 Division games and we win the division even if we lose the other 3.
But our remaining schedule is so out-of-this-world tough. Ask anyone,

Wash.
Balt.
Browns
Bengals
Browns
Eagles
Balt.
KC
Bengals.....too unGodly tough. We will be lucky to end up above .500.

In this scenario, we win that coveted "Non-Losing Season" award so generously handed out every year.................................................

Salute the nation

I like it, but it's going to take better play to actually win the division.

Last night wasn't good enough. The Giants committed so many drive killing penalties on offense I lost track.

So you gave already given up?

I was being facetious, I don't think our remaining schedule is that tough. Browns, Ravens, Bengals 6 times?
Their collective record is 10-14, Brown and Bengals are 5-11. Really scary. But we are talking Steelers and Tomlin, so....

99% of us knew this after the schedule was released back in May...

But you're catching up now, so there's that.

The division games are always tough because we play them twice a year. The teams know each other well. I'd be happy with 4 of 6 in the division and 2 of 3 of the remaining games.

I think they beat Washington, lose to Philly and take down KC on Christmas.

I think 4 of 6 in the division and possible 1 of 3 outside of that.

That would be 11 wins in the season.

Whew! This second half is a *****. Well, have to at least split the division games which gives us 9 wins, then win at least one out of the three with Wash., Philly, and KC. That’s 10 wins.
That three game deal worries me. Wash. Will be very difficult since they’re hot now and the new darlings of the league. Philly, they simply never beat this team in Philly. KC, have not beat Mahomes to date.
Sure would have been nice to not blow those two games against the Colts and Cowboys. We may regret that!

First in the division, never a losing season, greatest coach everrrrr.....

It’s as tough as any other teams.

You didn’t take into account the records of Wash, Balt who we play 2X, Philly and KC.
Why not?

Could be the toughest remaining schedule in the league you clown.

I think they are all winnable games, its the ones were supposed to win that worry me.
I just want the defense to play lights out against Baltimore so Henry doesn't break the NFL rushing record.
Time to earn that $ Cam

So you think the Steelers lose at least half of the games against the 5-11 Bengals/Browns as well as all of the others?

The way it’s going, there’s a chance that the Christmas Day game vs. the Chiefs will be meaningless for them unless they trying to preserve a perfect season.

No, I do not, I was the one pointing out that the "super tough" Steeler schedule was not so "super tough" as was being paraded about. KC, Balt., Eagles are tough games. And one of the other games between Browns/Cinci we may lose.

And how many times are you going to point out the same thing? Trying to set a record for redundancy? Obviously it was heralded as a tough schedule when it was announced in the offseason. The off season. Especially the second half, and the time in between games.
I’m quite sure you predicted the Bengals would fall this flat. While obviously you think Cleveland and Cincinnati will be walkovers because of their records,I certainly don’t. Division games, winter ball, bitter rivalry adds up to some tough **** coming up. We are always their team to beat. They would like nothing better then to be spoilers. And I am certainly not ready to say the Bengals are done yet.

Lloyd is just setting the stage for our "easy" second half so if we have a few losses (a likely result as there are many tough games), the mantra can be how Tomlin lost easy games. While Avoid Lloyd was a warning to offensive players in the late 80s and in the 90s, it is now a warning to Steeler nation forum posters.
