I like this move. We have 1 phenomenal, 1 very good, 1 up and coming pass rusher. Smith gives us a guy who can keep 1 & 2 fresh and healthy and if something happens at least we have some depth now. A 7th round pick is hard pressed to make the team so if smith gets a couple of sacks for us he’s probably doing more than the draft pick.

He’d have to do some damage to keep him at 12m next year. Probably a rental but who knows if he plays well maybe we can turn that salary into bonus and lower his cap hit.

Maybe the thought is we’ll run MW on constant go routes preventing defenses from doubling GP all the time and then it should open up the middle for Freiermuth and Washington. I just don’t see Williams catching onto the offense really quickly.

My over/under for him is 150 yards the rest of the season.

You are the only poster here that mostly talks about ravens things, you have had multiple accounts that have done the same thing... you flipped out on tape last year for criticizing Jackson... you flipped out about people saying Tucker wasnt the best K in the league anymore, you flipped on me because i said Jackson was a run first QB that runs too much to win in the postseason... then you ignored all the data i put up for virtually every major QB supporting that

you flipped when i said I didnt think Henry would last much longer and was surprised he was doing as good as he is then ignored the breakdown of every elite RB and the age they fell off a cliff

Certain posters aren’t trying to make good evals they just think everything sucks outside of their ****** opinions. The Jets are a dumpster fire of a team. I don’t think Williams got a fair shake there.

Plus how hard would it be to be an upgrade over Van? I will give it to him that he has had decent blocking and has tried hard. But he arguably isn’t a number 2 WR. So you get a guy they can look at and only give up one of their extra 5ths.

You have to be straining to not like that trade if you look hard at the Jets…
