Trade Deadline

Looks like the price for Metcalf was too high. Someone reported we offered a 2nd and 6th

I asked you to support your claim that Lamar Jackson is Corky...

Let's try again... You stated Lamar Jackson is Corky. Support your argument.

And spare me the "call it as I see it" BS because you do not have intellect or vision, you talk a lot of trash and then stutter when you're called out.

Next we'll discuss how you claim Deshaun Watson needs another big contract because he's broke from paying out civil settlements. I'll be a Browns fan for this one.

You have an excellent opportunity to show that you don't have ***** for brains. Take a day or two to respond, of necessary. I have zero faith that you can respond with a convincing argument for either of these claims. You're a dope.

If you want to rehash this argument, just look up our last one... I could post a billion stats.. you will ignore it anyway...

And I don't give a rats *** if you think I'm a "dope" or not... you are an insignificant troll upset because people on a different team's messageboard dont think the same way you do...

The fact is Lamar in his career runs 30% of the time... " new" lamar the past two years runs 25% of the time...
nobody runs that much and wins a super bowl... and they have shorter careers...

You are hung up on me saying he groups with guys like Newton, Vick, RG3 and Kordell... as if I was saying he was utter garbage or something... Newton won a mvp and made it to a SB.. Kordell went to two AFCCGs and finished 4th in mvp voting in 2001...

He struggles against teams that play him like a regular qb like the Steelers or the Chiefs... teams that drop a safety into the box and spy him with an ilb he passes fine against...

I said Steelers
Didn’t see where the convo was limited to Steelers

But at any rate that’s not how the draft works

Just because the Steelers didn’t take the players doesn’t mean they weren’t drafted in those rounds or available in those rounds, thus proving my point that the first round is not the only round QBs of value can be drafted. The players are there which your assertion was a team (particularly the Steelers) had to use a first rounder to snag a good QB which simply isn’t true…a fallacy

Just because we took several late round failures doesn’t mean that great QBs weren’t available, we simply picked wrong…my entire point that QBs can be had past the first round and thus it makes perfect sense to draft a non first round QB. Rounds 2&3 have produced several great QBs.

Doesn’t have to be first or bust

You can talk until your tongue falls out but:

Jackson is a generational talent who has changed the game
Deshaun Watson is still a wealthy man.
Derrick Henry is leading the League at 30.

You calling me a Ravens fan doesn't get under my skin or win you any points. You're a goof & I'll continue to call you out when you try to pass nonsense as fact.

Fair enough.. my crystal ball says QBs who run 20% plus of their dropbacks have never won a superbowl, and have shorter careers like Rbs...

Also all the factual data says the same thing, but if i type it out you just dismiss it, ignore it, or claim you dont understand it

I will never understand why Ravens ans have to come here and pretend to be Steelers fans... no one here cares if you are a fan of another team... you dont hide it well...
At least EdReedforPres owned his **** when he was here

Back in the day when other teams trolls at least had some guts.

And you’re right once again about RB QBs which makes me hope they don’t overpay for Fields believing him to be some sort of “the future”

I appreciate what he did filling in admirably as a backup and keeping us afloat and good to have him as a backup plan should Russ get hurt again, but if SBs are the standard neither Fields or Lamar are the answer to the equation imo.

Go bounce on something stiff you mook. Jackson is top 3 in the league at his position and that doesn't bug me at all. It sure does but you "men" but learn to live with it.

Lamar Jackson is 2-4 in the playoffs with no Super Bowl appearances or victories.

Kordell was 2-2 in the playoffs with no Super Bowl appearances or victories as a starting QB.

Relatively similar.

If you take it by winning %, Kordell was better.

No argument there. And the PO games I've seen he has sucked. Unheard of for your D to allow 0 in 2nd half of one score game and lose. But comparing reg season numbers to Rodgers or Ben and Jackson has same numbers.

We're arguing about this slimeball saying whatever he wants to say and then calling me a Ravens fan because he can't back up the stupid ***** he says.

Yes his career 60% completion percentage and 1.5-1 TD/INT ratio inspired every GM to change the way they draft QB. Get real.

I just saw a statistic thst MIKE WILLIAMS has the smallest CONTESTED window radius catch rate over the last several years…RUSS IS GONNA COOK

STEELER nation is hilarious

We finally got the receiver everybody’s whining about, and NOW everybody’s whining about the receiver that we finally got…
Not everyone is whining just the typical mopes.

If one was unimpressed with an injury prone, unproductive receiver on the decline prior to the trade are they supposed to become instantly happy once they’re part of the squad?

I’ll celebrate the move if/when he contributes in a meaningful way to a victory or two. Sure I’ll root like hell for him like I do for all the good guys, but just because a desperation move was made and a JAG was acquired isn’t enough to make me think this moves the needle towards a significant change in the outcome of the season.

Hope I’m wrong about his potential but I’d personally rather see CA3 not losing snaps to the likes of Mike Williams. Hopkins may have been a bit more exciting or Olave but giving away an asset for a meh rental player just doesn’t have me singing sunshine and lollipops for some reason.

We can only hope he wasn’t being used properly and our offensive gurus have the key to unlock his potential. Hope is a helluva drug.

As others have said a 5th for Williams was higher than expected.
But at least they are making moves. Trying to get better.
In years past they would have just stuck with what they had.

So the DJ trade, if you add in the 5th they spent on Williams, still ended up being a good trade for the Steelers
