Come on Omar..Sometimes life offers you a poop sandwich. All you can do is take a bite
I am. I'm sure a faitly large portion of those attending the game are blue collar working men and women, and I'm glad that they wont have to risk their safety to attend a football game.Come on Omar..
Show a little compassion for the working man..
Zona for Commish or NY Governor or both!So did Hocul make this decision, or did the NFL do it?
Either way, those planning to attend from out of the area are likely screwed and won't be at the game now.
And a 4:30 kickoff? Not everyone gets MLK day off. And if they're so concerned, just move the game to Cleveland like they originally proposed.
Short week for the winner.
That's just emotions talking Sarge. I do think not taking action sooner is a much bigger deal to those that had a vested interest in attending. Not wanting tens of thousands of people traveling in a snowstorm expected to produce 2-3 feet of snow with winds 25-35 mph is society getting soft and players being pansies. Oh, and the NFL only did this to favor the Bills and screw the Steelers. Lol.
Its flu season. Maybe you get a cough or feel stuffed up.....Guess I could but I tend to “watch with” a group of family and friends in a text thread so it will be tough. I mean I could turn my phone off but that wouldn’t be fun.
Here is the thing. It was done mostly because the Governor, who has already trolled the Steelers online, instituted a travel ban starting at 9 tonight I believe. From what I know about her I wouldn't put it past her to have acted out of self interests at least to a degree. Not wanting tens of thousands of people traveling in a snowstorm expected to produce 2-3 feet of snow with winds 25-35 mph is society getting soft and players being pansies. Start the video @ around 2:45 and you'll see how it relates. If you've never seen it of course. They have a minor league team and a nice stadium downtown. Looks really cool.
Read the post above you...not everything is politics...LOL. It's called reality. And the reality is the NFL won't make as much money putting on a **** show, and the city+states resources don't need to be tied up at a stadium when chaos kicks in. I take it you love capitalism? That’s the A hole Libtard governor for you
Almost ashamed to say I’m a New Yorker
They also draw more than the Miami Marloons (sic)They have a minor league team and a nice stadium downtown. Looks really cool.
Probably waiting to see if anything changed enough that it was doable. Forecasts change by the hour.If the powers that be knew that the weather conditions would be hazardous, why did they wait until 24 hours before kickoff to make this decision?
It's not like this storm wasn't predicted a week ago.
I'd be pissed if I had time and money invested in this game being played as scheduled.
Yet, I have the feeling that if the Bills had an indoor stadium, that this would be a non-issue. No, I don’t think it’s some grand conspiracy to help Buffalo, but I doubt the NFL has any concerns over the fans traveling to/from the game. Because, as it is, If you don’t want to take a chance traveling to and from a football game, then you just don’t go.Last year 47 people died in the blizzard. Let's see what would happen if you put 70,000 people in the middle of it. The resources will be stressed enough without dealing with that.
She has a duty to protect the citizens of New York. If she said screw it and let them play she would have been roasted for not caring about her constituents enough to move the game. Here is the thing. This I do agree with. They earned the right to have the game, and control it, but they’ve known about this storm for over a week, and they shot down rumors about it moving to Cleveland earlier in the week (leading us all to believe it was going to go on as scheduled). And take away the home game the Bills earned and not allow Bills season ticket holders to attend the game? Absolutely not. I would never want that to happen for the Steelers so I won't wish that upon Buffalo either.
Maybe, but there was talk about moving the game 5 days ago. Again, I have nothing invested in this, but lots of folks do.Probably waiting to see if anything changed enough that it was doable. Forecasts change by the hour.
So does PittsburghThey have a minor league team and a nice stadium downtown. Looks really cool.
