Steelers-Bills Postponed to Monday

Read the post above you...not everything is politics...LOL. It's called reality. And the reality is the NFL won't make as much money putting on a **** show, and the city+states resources don't need to be tied up at a stadium when chaos kicks in. I take it you love capitalism?
😂 If you think this place concerns itself with reality, you have been to the Politics & Religion forum. Everything is political and everything is a conspiracy.

The NFL don’t give a **** about the STEELERS, weather being their excuse to find a way to favor the #2 darlings.

In a way, I hope they get blasted with snow Monday. Obviously our players will play but it’s another day in a couped up away Motel room. SCREW JOB again.

Salute the nation
It’s a public safety thing - that’s understandable.

The league should move to a neutral site imo

It sucks, but it was the right call. We are not talking about some snow here. 1-3 feet of snow with wind chills in single digits and 30-40 m.p.h. winds with gusts up to 65m.p.h. People die in this kind of weather, not to mention all the pre-game drinkers and idiots in general you have no control over. Oh, yeah, take the ******* politics over to the other part of the forum.

She has a duty to protect the citizens of New York. If she said screw it and let them play she would have been roasted for not caring about her constituents enough to move the game.

So she trolled the Steelers. Politicians never do that, or have bets or anything so she is obviously trying to give the Bills a leg up. Come on.
My only beef is that she should have done this days ago, it's not like this storm is sneaking up on them at the last hour.

I plowed out 2 feet of snow on my driveway this morning. Was warm in the truck. No one died. It's windy and cold out as well. It's winter.

Again, the game would be played if in Green Bay.

Since they knew this was coming early in the week, was there any thought to moving the game to a 1 or even 11 am start on Saturday? Or is it that bad there now?

Yet, I have the feeling that if the Bills had an indoor stadium, that this would be a non-issue. No, I don’t think it’s some grand conspiracy to help Buffalo, but I doubt the NFL has any concerns over the fans traveling to/from the game. Because, as it is, If you don’t want to take a chance traveling to and from a football game, then you just don’t go.
An indoor stadium would provide a security blanket/shelter for those in attendance if the weather does get as dangerous as advertised

I think it's on the way. Saw someone on FB that lives 20 miles north of the stadium post a picture of their bare lawn.

Not wanting tens of thousands of people traveling in a snowstorm expected to produce 2-3 feet of snow with winds 25-35 mph is society getting soft and players being pansies. Oh, and the NFL only did this to favor the Bills and screw the Steelers. Lol.

It was tge Correct decision not to play there at 1pm Sunday... that is not a question, but the option to wait this late tgen move it just over 24 hrs later in the same place at a terrible time is stupid.

A week ago, when they were deciding playoff times, this likelihood was already known... they could have done it Saturday at 4 and put the west coast game on sunday at 12... or play it at 1 pm today, the also could have moved it to a neutral site... though that really sucks for buffalo... or simply move this to monday night and tell the networks to **** off....

I dont understand how if snowstorms are expected to happen today, tommorrow, and monday... how tgey expect to be " safe" by gametime monday if it wasnt on Sunday... people will still have to travel through snow and ice... it feels like tgey really were trying to avoid tge windstorm more than anything else

Just my opinion but move the game to a neutral site

I'm not worried about the game change, but this does screw up my MLK day festivities.

Moving 70,000 people to and from the game in those conditions? Does Buffalo even have the resources to keep that many roads clear with that much snow in the forecast?
Sort of, but when the snow is coming so fast that traffic gets snarled the plows can’t get through either. Lake effect snow can be 6” an hour all day, additionally you can’t see the F’ing road. Am I in my lane, am in the other lane, am I driving through someone’s yard, beats the **** out of me. I lived up past Buffalo for a while.

Will you STFU if I acknowledge that the game would be played in Green Bay, that there would be idiots with no shirts on and cheese on their head and the fans would all shout, "Go Pack Go." Ok then, it's acknowledged.

Get over yourself, what you do means absolutely nothing in relation to what happens during NFL games

Lol if I really believed me working through a game actually determined who won or lost, Id be coming down with a hell of a flu right now 🤣🤣🤣... but I do have a lousy track record ... maybe my boss is psychic and just knows when to keep me away from bad losses... or more likely, our late season losses happen more frequently and thats often when I am busiest🤦🏻‍♂️

I walked a country mile to my bus stop through stuff like that for years.

I remember digging out a 300 yard section of our half mile private road when it was hitting around -28 with wind chills around -80. I was 11. I didn't die.

******* pansies.

The other thing is that that neighborhood the stadium is in is residential... I have no idea how tgey intend to get it even sort of passable by gametime monday... a lot of tge parking is in peoples yards...
