Steelers-Bills Postponed to Monday

I plowed out 2 feet of snow on my driveway this morning. Was warm in the truck. No one died. It's windy and cold out as well. It's winter.

Again, the game would be played if in Green Bay.
Bullshit. You dont drive a truck. You drive one of those smart cars

The other thing is that that neighborhood the stadium is in is residential... I have no idea how tgey intend to get it even sort of passable by gametime monday... a lot of tge parking is in peoples yards...
Local radio reported that the hotels, including the Steelers’, are like 15 miles from the stadium.

My streaming service has the game, had everything ready and the schedule free to watch it, now Monday, that day is completely work filled until late. This sucks
Are you trying to say that work and your livelihood are more important than a Steeler football game?

Ive gone to games in Buffalo before... on a sunny, pleasant day it takes HOURS to get in and out of that mess of a stadium location... this is not hyperbole.
In a snowstorm people may just die of starvation before escaping that madness ( that was hyperbole, but only slightly🤣🤣🤣)

I’m debating to get ******* peacock for a month so I can see this game tonight, and I am sure there will be one next. 6bucks as long as I remember to cancel.

F the NFL.

This is being spun as a safety concern for fans, that’s BS. The real reason is striking monetary, if fans stay home because of the weather, they lose millions.

This is almost as good as a hurricane watch. There needs to be a reporter out in front of the stadium for the next 48 hours for a live broadcast of the event.

Sort of, but when the snow is coming so fast that traffic gets snarled the plows can’t get through either. Lake effect snow can be 6” an hour all day, additionally you can’t see the F’ing road. Am I in my lane, am in the other lane, am I driving through someone’s yard, beats the **** out of me. I lived up past Buffalo for a while.
I was driving in a snow squall that lasted about 20 minutes. I couldn't see to pull over safely. I just followed the vehicle in front of me (or their tracks if I fell behind). If they went in the ditch I was right behind. One of the scariest times of my life.

😂 If you think this place concerns itself with reality, you have been to the Politics & Religion forum. Everything is political and everything is a conspiracy.
Never been. Here for the football.(y)

Sorry…Not concerned about them..

I am. I'm sure a faitly large portion of those attending the game are blue collar working men and women, and I'm glad that they wont have to risk their safety to attend a football game.
Just to be clear this is what I was replying to .. it was in response to playing at Cleveland and not safety of fans ..see below..

And take away the home game the Bills earned and not allow Bills season ticket holders to attend the game? Absolutely not. I would never want that to happen for the Steelers so I won't wish that upon Buffalo either.

Now I really don’t like that woman..
I live in NY… imagine how I feel on the daily!!!

Hate it for football purposes, but it’s really the right thing for the safety of those that were expected to attend, in spite of how well that area of NY is prepared and experienced with such conditions.

Was it uphill both ways?

Actually at the top of a hill with a single lane shale road that went into a valley like ravine, then through about 500 acres or corn fields or wheat, depending on the year.

What sucked *** is when we first moved to my grandfather's farm, we didn't have a jeep with a snow plow. So that meant parking 1/2 mile from the house and walking through however high the snow would drift over the road which would end up being 3-6 feet at times.

Took the groceries back to the house on a toboggan sled. It immensely sucked ***. The walking to the school bus stop by myself through that **** in pitch black darkness sucked too.

Now I'm a spoiled Florida cupcake..lol

Moving 70,000 people to and from the game in those conditions? Does Buffalo even have the resources to keep that many roads clear with that much snow in the forecast?
Buffalo weatherman were laughing off the 18' of snow like it was no big deal.
