Steelers -clowns game thread (1st matchup)

What was Fields TD to TO ratio with the Steelers

That stat that actually matters
Can’t fault a QB for being cursed by the Bears
Fields averages less than 1 passing TD per game for his career along with
31 Interceptions
44 fumbles

You're irrelevant stats mean nothing when you look big picture.

Not here to crap on Fields he played admirably for us. I like the guy, but don't tell me he's any sort of passing weapon or any upgrade over Wilson in the passing game.

I think the unfortunate is that neither QB is probably not the answer. It was a risk but a necessary risk bringing both aboard. I still prefer Wilson as he can at least keep teams from crowding the LOS.

They have to push the ball downfield and the wide receivers have to work when the qb scrambles.

The irrelevant Bear stats mean nothing when you look at the now, my stats lmao…they are just stats I don’t make them

Who gives a crap what he did with the Bears, almost every QB that’s ever played for the Bears sucked…it’s a place QBs go to die

I see you avoided the question tho, the answer must not have fit your narrative

He’s a Steeler now in a different system and what he does here is all that matters to me, could give two ***** about Bears stats

Unless it’s 3rd or 4th and short

And then Russ’ prowess does jack squat to prevent crowding the LOS

You are correct though, neither QB is really the answer unless Tomlinships remain the standard, and then they both are the answer

Unless it is fourth and short on our/Steelers side of the field. Then punt please!

TD to turnover is meaningless when you throw for less than 1 TD per game and throw for less than 150 yds in 4/6 games. (Literally what he did here)
You're 6 td to 1 int argument is like celebrating a 750 batting average for a batter with 4 at bats.
Or getting excited about a RB with 30 carries per season averaging 6 yards per carry.
When the sample size is that small it means nothing.
Talk to me when he has 36Td to 6 int
You're right he is a Steeler and he still can't throw TD or pass at a high level.
By you're logic >1 TD per game and throwing >150 should be celebrated because of his TD to turnover ratio??

LOL
Name 1 good QB in the history of the league to average less than 1 passing TD/game

Putting an awful lot of words in my mouth I didn’t say, but whatever floats your boat bro

Never said half the things you’re asserting

Simply that his Bear stats mean squat when he currently operates in a different system with different coaches and different players.

As a Steeler 10 TDs vs 1 pick in his limited sample size, off to an ok start in a very conservative offense.

By my logic the low TD passing totals are largely a product of the Shaded one’s philosophies just so you know where my logic stands as you misrepresent my logic in your assertions claiming things you have zero idea of…never said anything about celebrating poor offensive production

Whatever fits your narrative, gotcha bub

You have zero logic.
His Steelers passing stats are not strong.
Stats clearly illustrate this.

I'm with Fiji. You have to judge the QBs based on the system they are in and beyond just passing. How Wilson performed in DEN and SEA, or Justin in CHI is mostly irrelevant. This is a highly restrictive and conservative offense in which both QBs have been given a chance to perform. They have to be compared in the laboratory they are currently operating.

Sample set small or not:

Wilson has a 7/2 ratio to Fields' 5/2 ratio in passing. Win.
Wilson has 16 sacks over 4 games. Loss
Wilson has more turnovers than Fields. Loss.
Fields has 5 rushing TDs to Wilson's 1. Loss.

Offensive production is about more than just passing (which is huge, no one argues). I could give 2 licks if we score by the QB's feet or his arm if he and the offense are producing.

Fields in a comparable sample set produced more points with his arm and legs than Wilson with fewer TOs.

We've now gone 2 games with just 2 TDs.

Russell just cooked both of you a sh** sandwich to eat
414
3td
126 passer rating.
Most points since the killer bees.

How you like them apples?

We won

ohhhhh wow. We won

We won

We won

Whiner…we won
Lol....Russ has been balling out. Hopefully Tomlin tightens up our D in the weeks ahead. Not a SB defense in my whiny opinion. 🤪

Your unwhiny opinion?

Dude we won. Can you celebrate? Your energy is as bad as George Pickens energy. It really kills us. Stop it.

I don’t understand why you think your energy isn’t important. All you’re doing is killing us. Stop it bro stop with the negativity.

I don’t understand how people can be on this earth this long and not understand your energy is important and every negative Steeler fan is ******* up the Steelers

just stop being negative

Your negative energy literally takes points off the board for us. That’s why I don’t like what you’re doing you don’t understand you’re whining is terrible and it’s just bringing negativity to the whole steeler culture

stop it.

Lol...where am I not celebrating? Do you think our D up to this point is SB worthy? I believe we have the talent. It is the coaches job to put them into position to succeed. Take a chill pill. 😉

as long as they give up fewer points than the Steelers score....yes they are

Our O will not be facing the Bengals D in the playoffs unfortunately. So it is up.to our coaches to scheme our D a bit better than they have been. My opinion anyways.

wll they did a good job against other top offenses

cincy has lit everyone up...they just can't stop anyone

Not really sure what they are I just know they are a better version of themselves than we haven’t seen since Ben. Still the same nail biting team but saying that at least they have a better chance to end each game with a W. We shall see how it finishes but enjoying the ride….

Sure....we won today. Wish it didn't come down to what it did after being up 44 to 24. In the end our O got a first down. Never had to see how elite our D would have been if Cincy got the ball back......thank GOD.

Not every O has burrows, Chase and Higgins either. It goes both ways

I am referring to the playoffs. Usually the teams in the afc have guys named Allen....Mahomes...Stroud...Jackson.....you know....the better QBs(teams) of the league. But yeah....during the regular season Tomlin has balled out. Hopefully this post season(should we make it)we yake care of business.
