In the immortal words of Jalen Hurts, when you make a deuce you flush it down and you move on
if that is ALL you look at, I agree with you. What Im thinking is that Wilson would have done more in the 2nd and 3rd quarters than Fields was able to do because he can actually diagnose a play and make a decision faster overall because of his extensive experience. So we might not have needed 2 rushing TDs like we did from Fields because I dont know what Wilson would have done in the middle of the game.you ignore the 22/34, 1 TD passing, 0 INTs and 104 rating and focus on the 2 rushing TDs (that you ain't getting with Russ) to force a narrative. It doesn't fit.
Fields wasn't the reason we were down by 17 for so long. He was the biggest reason they came back and had a chance until Frazier's bad snap.if that is ALL you look at, I agree with you. My fear would be that IND was running around with their hair on fire and would have sacked Russ a couple times. But Justin with his speed got sacked because he holds the ball too long. It goes back and forth. I can see both sides. Justin on the last scoring drive was impressive. He was decisive. The botched snap just cannot happen. It just cannot. Najee, who plays so so very hard, just killed us with not getting out of bounds and I like to think that he is smart enough to know that. Cant understand why he did what he did.
Ultimately, somehow I hope we at least get a glimpse of Wilson at the helm of the offense to see what he can do. I do not think one should lose a job because of injury and maybe now that the winning streak is over, Russ will get a shot. I totally understood not wanting to upset the apple cart so to speak while the team was winning but thats over now. Should be 4-0. Needed to keep stacking wins vs lesser teams because of what lies ahead at the end of the season.
last thing is that that penalty on Minkah just killed us. I was proud we came back, but we held them and should have gotten off the field but a horrible call gave them a 1st down and a chance to get 7. The refs have to be better than that. That effected the game big time.
Where is this magical giant toilet that can dispose of the entire Cleveland Browns organization in one flush, and the entire city of Cleveland for that matter? In the immortal words of Jalen Hurts, when you make a deuce you flush it down and you move on
Any comment now? Fields played very well yet again. This was on the defense and the terrible turnover by Pickens. They're averaging under 20 point per game with Fields. The defense cannot shut the opponent down every week in today's NFL.
I'll grant he was good last week, but he barely threw for 100 yards against the Broncos, averaging 2 yards per pass in the second half.
That's what she saidthey had one big play and just jammed it down our throat
Wilson will be a sitting duck back there with his gimpy calf or whatever it is. Will he crumble when pressure gets to him? Be aftaid to step up....or roll out? You are just throwing bullshit out there saying Fields misses open guys...slow on reads. The last 2 games the annoucers have praised Fields on his reads and decisions but you and a few others say the opposite from your TV view of the action. Laughable actually. With Russ we are more than likely not in the position we were in today to begin with. Fields misses open receivers, slow processing, too much indecision in the pocket. Even when he runs at times he's indecisive. Not saying he can't be the guy, just saying he needs to sit and learn for at least a year.

Watch the 2nd and goal at about the 25 second mark against the Raiders here. Rolling out(dude can still scoot and is shifty) throwing on the run, great accuracy and in a tight NFL window Fields would likely consider...then reconsider...then either run or get sacked.if that is ALL you look at, I agree with you. You are simply speculating on what Wilson would do or not do. He is 35 coming off a current calf or some are saying Achilles injury. I would not count on anything Wilson can do until he actually does it.if that is ALL you look at, I agree with you. I hear you. I'm talking about bringing him back when he is 100%. I don't care about announcers...I laughed for the past two weeks while all the usual NFL/ESPN talking head suspects ranted about how this was Fields team now. Laughable when you look at the scoring and yardage till today.Wilson will be a sitting duck back there with his gimpy calf or whatever it is. Will he crumble when pressure gets to him? Not really. It is all about what they are asking Fields to do weekly in and weekly out. Do you think they game planned him to get 3 tds and 300 yards per game up to this point? He did what they asked him to do.I hear you. I'm talking about bringing him back when he is 100%. They scored 20 last week and he threw for 245. Had a passer rating in the high 90's. That was last week ... not "til today"I hear you. I'm talking about bringing him back when he is 100%. Yes, exactly. He is asked to do what they feel is within his capabilities at this point. We need more and we need it early. Again, I'm not saying he's not the guy just saying we need to see what Wilson has when he's ready. Not really. It is all about what they are asking Fields to do weekly in and weekly out. Yeah that won't get the Chiefs and Bills. The Bills have scored 30+ in their first 3 games. Chiefs are just warming up, still upper 20s. I'm looking at the big picture, not let's just be competitive and get Tomlin another winning record. They scored 20 last week and he threw for 245. Had a passer rating in the high 90's. That was last week ... not "til today"
True...then we can't use stats. We'll just agree to disagree I guess. I just don't want to waste the defense for just another non losing season.Pure speculation. Hell.....one of Wilson's wheels is still flat and damaged. Also... Different offense. Different players. Different everything.
And you think Wilson would get us into the Bills and Chiefs area code?Yeah that won't get the Chiefs and Bills. The Bills have scored 30+ in their first 3 games. Everyone blames the D because that is simple. If you score points early it changes the complexion of the opposing offense and logically plays into your defenses hands. That angle is so often overlooked.Fields isn’t the problem. I don’t understand why he is even in question tight now. He is a young developmental QB and he’s progressing. Our defense got punched in the mouth early, missed tackles, missed turnovers, and the coaching staff failed to adjust to geriatric Flacco.
Typical Tomlin team. Standard is the standard.
well if you stop the other team from scoring early then it makes it easier on the offense....Everyone blames the D because that is simple. If you score points early it changes the complexion of the opposing offense and logically plays into your defenses hands. That angle is so often overlooked.
