I really do think Kenny can do well in this league. I love his bit of swagger and heart. I certainly would not give up on him. A few things do concern me.....but it’s too early to say it’s a pattern.Like Manning? He doesn’t seem to be the kind to get down.
We would only be so lucky. Unfortunately we have better odds of winning the lottery than seeing needed change.Admittedly less teams this year than in years . but I would say Carolina, Jags, Texans, and Redskins for sure.
Look you have to rebuild at this point, but I don’t think all these coaches are ****… but sometimes you just have to cut bait cause a new perspective is needed… we once terminated Dungy, and he was great later on…This game was another reminder how Roethlisberger kept this team winning for all those years, including last year when he was a shell of his former self. They were probably a bottom 5 team without him at QB and I was one who thought another QB could come in and do better. I was flat out wrong. This team is a total mess and it has been for several seasons.
C'mon Slash, better teams won't be looking for HCs. That's true whether it's Tomlin or some hotshot DC/OC. Rarely do you get the Gruden to Tampa, Reid to KC scenarios.Maybe a worse team than the Steelers maybe the Jags. Not sure after that.
My point is his time with our team should be done. I realize there is dumb teams that will do dumb things. That is just me venting.C'mon Slash, better teams won't be looking for HCs. That's true whether it's Tomlin or some hotshot DC/OC. Rarely do you get the Gruden to Tampa, Reid to KC scenarios.
If they were to get rid of Tomlin, I think his replacement is sitting behind our DC. Flores would be one of the top guys I talk to. Only one of the Belicheat coaching tree that has had any kind of success. My point is his time with our team should be done. I realize there is dumb teams that will do dumb things. Now we can bathe with them by keeping this **** show in place.
I will say it again BigBen masked a lot of problems with the coaches. His elite traits kept this team from bottom feeding. Now without that the flood gates are open. This game was another reminder how Roethlisberger kept this team winning for all those years, including last year when he was a shell of his former self. Did you see his celebration in the booth on the Claypool TD pass.........so will Canada be let go tomorrow?
I am ok with Flores getting the gig. I would do it yesterday. If they were to get rid of Tomlin, I think his replacement is sitting behind our DC. Flores would be one of the top guys I talk to. Only one of the Belicheat coaching tree that has had any kind of success.
You do, it's more of the idea that Ben masked the deficiencies with his play, particularly in the fourth quarter.Look you have to rebuild at this point, but I don’t think all these coaches are ****… but sometimes you just have to cut bait cause a new perspective is needed… we once terminated Dungy, and he was great later on…
With a young offense, I almost feel like the Steelers need an offensive mind who can help this group grow. Flores and his hard-nosed approach would've been good after the Jacksonville playoff loss. Still have a talented veteran team ready to win and bring in a head coach with more structure.I am ok with Flores getting the gig. I would do it yesterday.
He could bring in an offensive minded OC. I do get your way of thinking though. The league is tweaked for offensive production. So one way or another you need a highly competent coach on that side of the ball. With a young offense, I almost feel like the Steelers need an offensive mind who can help this group grow. The defense better get younger soon. They need at least one, maybe 2 young CBs, someone (draft/FA) to replace Bush, more young talent on the DL, and another really good Edge to rotate with TJ and Highsmith. With a young offense, I almost feel like the Steelers need an offensive mind who can help this group grow. the defense is young. other than heywardThe defense better get younger soon. They need at least one, maybe 2 young CBs, someone (draft/FA) to replace Bush, more young talent on the DL, and another really good Edge to rotate with TJ and Highsmith.
Lot of mediocrity on both sides of the ball highlighted by even worse decision making. One thing I loathe more than losing is losing and in the process not even being remotely competitive. These days are far too often and not an anomaly. The defense better get younger soon. It should get younger as you replace subpar performers like Bush, Witherspoon, etc. Also as you upgrade players like AluAlu, Wormley, Adams etc.the defense is young. other than heyward
